Based during episode judgment night when Fangs is released from jail.

Toni's POV

"I'm coming with you!" Cheryl yelled.

"No way. I've said no already. " I argued.

"But what if you get hurt? I won't be there to help you. I would just be sitting here worried. I can't let you go alone." Cheryl said, becoming more annoyed.

"Yes and what if you do come and end up getting hurt? I would never forgive myself if I let something happen to you. And besides, I won't be alone, I'll have the other serpents." I explained. Cheryl grabbed my hand. "Look, a lot of people are going to be angry that Fangs is getting out. That's understandable. They want someone to blame. They want justice, and Fangs seemed guilty. I can't let you get in the middle of that. I won't." I continued.

"Toni, you're my girlfriend. We're supposed to be there for each other...So let me be there for you. Please, Toni." Cheryl kissed me gently. I always end up giving into her.

"Fine. But one sniff of danger and you will be out of there faster than you can say Serpent." I huffed.

"Deal." Cheryl answered. I knew I would probably regret this later.

So we headed to the station. I needed to be there for Fangs. He had always been there for me. He was a great friend. He stood by me through the death of my parents, so did Sweet Pea. He was there for me when I had no one else. So it was time I was there for him, protected him, just like he did for me.

~on their way to the station~

Cheryl and I weren't there yet, but we could already hear chanting and screaming. People were going past us, looking angry, likely heading to the station.

Cheryl's POV

A black car drove past us. In it, I could see Midge's mother. She looked furious. Naturally, Toni and I began to pick up pace. It was awful how Midge had died. She was a part of the vixens, which made her my friend.

I could see the concern in Toni's eyes earlier. I could see she was worried for Fangs. I was worried too. I was worried because she was worried. Toni doesn't often get like this. She doesn't often get emotional.

As we were walking, I gripped her hand. I held it tightly and as I did so, she quickly looked over at me. I gave her a smile, which she soon returned.

~at the station~

Toni and I looked around for Jughead and the other serpents. There were so many people. I held Toni's hand tighter. She was so small. I didn't want to lose her in the swarm of people waiting outside the station. People were angry. People were scared. I don't think anybody was ready to believe that the Blackhood could be back, so they needed someone else to pin their anger on. I knew Toni was close to Fangs, so I knew she wanted to help him.

Finally, after what felt like years, we spotted Jughead in his little hat. He was with his father and one or two other people that I didn't recognise.

"Jughead! Hey. So, what are we gonna do? It's crazy out here." Toni yelled. It was so loud that I could barely hear her talk.

"We will go in there and bring Fangs out, surround him, make sure nobody can get to him." Jughead responded and we all went in to the building.

We walked in. Sheriff Keller was standing there, looking confused and nervous due to the people outside.

"I need you to get him out, fast. I can't have all those people outside all night." Mr Keller said. Jughead noded in response as Fangs crept around the corner.

"Fangs!" I heard Toni yell.

"Hey tiny!" He answered. Tiny? Her nickname? Can't say I disagree.

"Fangs, we need to hurry. There is a lot of people out there. So we need to act quick." FP mumbled. With that, we were surrounding Fangs and heading out the door.

Toni's POV

Cheryl and I still had our hands locked together. I wasn't going to let go. Not ever. But as we made our way out of the door and further away from the building, our circle around Fangs became less secure. The crowd was moving left and right, which made it harder to keep a safe circle around him. In the blink of an eye, Cheryl was gone from my side.

"Cheryl!" I shouted. No response. I doubt she could hear me. "Cheryl!" I tried again.

"Toni!" I heard Cheryl scream in the distance. She sounded on edge, worried. I searched desperately for her. As soon as I spotted her red hair, I dashed towards it. I noticed Reggie had a gun. I could see the anger lighting up his face. I noticed Archie creeping up behind him. The weapon was perfectly lined up with Fangs. I ran quicker towards Cheryl and noticed Fangs not far behind her. I picked up my pace. I moved faster. I was practically sprinting. I got closer and closer to Cheryl. I was in arms reach. I saw Archie tackle Reggie. BANG! There were screams coming from every direction.
