Toni's POV

"Mom! Mom!" I heard some shouting. I paused the tv to see my daughter coming up to me.

"What is it, Ellie?"

"Uhhh..." I looked as she appeared to lose her train of thought for a short moment. "Sorry. Look I wanted to ask if it was okay that I went out with Jacob today?" She looked at me and I nodded in response.

"I don't have a problem with it, but you better check with mommy first. You know how she can be." We both chuckled. She gave me a quick hug before she hopped away. It's crazy to think that she's fifteen years old. It feels like it was only yesterday Cheryl was squeezing my hand as she gave birth to our firstborn child. Can't believe how quickly time flies by.

Cheryl's POV

"Hey, mommy can I please hang out with Jacob today?" A face appeared next to me. I put the food in the oven and turned to face my child.

"Sure. I'm sure you asked mom too."

"I did. Thank you. He's gonna meet me here in an hour." She replied and walked off. I took my apron off and went to find my wife.

I found Toni laying on the sofa, with some Doritos by her side. Her eyes were glued to the tv screen.

"You know I'm making dinner, right?" I then sat beside her. I felt her arm wrap around me and a light kiss on my head.

"I know baby. But I just couldn't help myself. How could I levae them sitting there?"

"We have ten minutes to cuddle before the timer on the oven goes off." I explained.

"Perfect. That's all the time I need." Toni responded. We could hear a light banging noise upstairs.

"It feels like she's grown so fast." I said.

"I know. She's already got a boyfriend."

"What?"

"Come on. Don't tell me you haven't noticed it. The amount of time they spend together makes it hard not to." Toni looked at me.

"No, I have. I just wasn't sure if I was the only one." I added.

"All I can say is he better be treating my baby right."

"I agree with you there."

"In other news...Cheryl, babe, can I please get back to watching this?" Toni asked, pointing to the screen. I smiled, gave Toni a kiss and leaned back, enjoying the moment.

Cheryl's POV

Toni and I were kissing on the sofa when we heard the front door open. We quickly stopped as we recognised the voice saying "hello" as our daughter.

"Where are you guys?"

"In the living room." Toni yelled. Within seconds, Ellie was in the room. She sat down on the coffee table in front of us, and I just as I was about to tell her not to sit there she said something.

"I really need to tell you guys something. It's important." Toni and I shared a worried look, because we recognised the emotion that Ellie was showing. She was clearly worried and nervous. But why? Without realising what I was doing, I reached for her hand.

"Well, when Jacob and I were out we were talking and he made me realise something. I can't hide it from you anymore." As I listened to her, I thought she was about to tell me they were in a relationship and that I would have to act like I didn't already know.

"The thing is...I'm not who you think I am."

"Well what do you mean by that?" Toni asked, no doubt concerned by the look on Ellie's face. I could see tears collecting in her eyes as she opened her mouth.

"I'm not your daughter." She paused for a moment. "I'm not a girl. I don't go by she and her pronouns. I'm a boy and I always have been. I was put in the wrong body." I gave my child a brief hug.

"That's it? That's all you wanted to tell us?" Toni said, earning an unsure look from our child.

"What?" He responded.

"Well with the look on your face I thought you were gonna tell us that you had killed someone, or that you are dating Jacob." Toni mumbled.

"Well that second part is true. I am dating him."

"We already knew that. I'm very proud of you. Thanks for telling us, on." I said, as I saw a large smile grow on his face as I said the word "son".

"So, son...What should we call you?" Toni asked.

"Uhhhh." He wiped the tears from his face and took a deep breath. "I use the name Noah. Jacob helped me pick it."

"So he knows?" I questioned.

"Yes. And he's totally cool with it. He's actually pansexual so he kind of understands the struggles of hiding your identity, as do you two."

"Just as well he accepts it because otherwise he may have been getting a visit from the serpents otherwise." Toni stated.

"Ummm...Toni dear, we do not use violence to solve our problems."

"Noooo...I know. I was just saying I'd have a friendly chat with him." We all burst out laguhing for a second. After we all stopped, I restarted the conversation.

"Well then, Noah, is there anything we can do for you?" I asked him.

"Uhhh...I would love to get a haircut. It's a bit longer than I'd like."

"Lets go." Toni stated. Noah ran to the door, demonstrating clear excitement. I gripped my wife's hand and smiled at her as we all headed for the car.
