Set in the distant future where Cheryl and Toni live together. There is no crazy drama. They just live a quiet and happy life. Part 1.

Cheryl's POV

I woke up to a kiss on the cheek.  I turned to face Toni.

"Morning, my beautiful wife." Toni said, half asleep. It was still weird hearing the word "wife". We had been married for almost a month.

"Good morning, my love." I answered. I pulled her in to a hug. We just layed on the bed for a while. We talked. We were both excited for later. We had something planned. Something we had been thinking about for a while.

"I can not wait for later." I stated.

"Me too, though I'm also a little nervous." Toni replied.

"It will be fine."

Toni's POV

I parked the car. Cheryl looked at me and grabbed my hand. I set my attention on her. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach.

"You ready?" She asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I jumped out of the car, reaching for Cheryl's hand instantly and made my way to the building. I took a deep breath as we walked in. We walked towards a desk. There was a rather young looking woman standing behind it.

"Hello, I'm Mrs Blossom-Topaz. I talked to Miss...uhh...Miss Jones on the phone. She said she would show us around." Cheryl explained.

"Okay. I'll just go and get her for you." The woman left.

"I can't believe this is actually happening." I mumbled.

"Me neither."

"Felt like only yesterday we were talking about it." I said. With that, the woman came back, in company of another, slightly older woman. Cheryl reached her hand out for the woman.

"Miss Jones I presume?" The woman nodded. "Hi, I'm Cheryl. We talked on the phone."

"Yes. Why don't we get started?" The woman asked.

Cheryl and I followed Miss Jones. We went from room to room. It wasn't a huge place, but there were so many kids here, of all ages. Children without homes. It made me sad, the amount of children without a home, without loving and caring parents to hold them. With any luck, Toni and I would be taking one home soon.

"This is the last room. This is the room for the younger girls, ranging from ages three to six." The woman explained. As soon as we walked in, one girl wrapped her arms around Cheryl's leg. She had a firm grip. She wouldn't let go. Cheryl looked down at her.

"Hey There! What's your name?" Cheryl asked. The girl looked up with cute puppy dog eyes. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. She was adorable.

"Sarah." The girl answered.

"She seems to like you." Miss Jones chuckled.

"Yes she does." I said, kneeling down so I was level with the young girl. I was intrigued. I looked in to Cheryl's eyes. I could tell she wanted to get to know this child too.

"Want to play a game?" I asked her. Sarah let go of Cheryl's leg and started jumping.

"Yes please." She grabbed Cheryl's hand and drag her over to another part of the room.

"How old is she?" I asked. Miss Jones was smiling.

"Four. She is a wonderful little girl." She said. I turned to face Cheryl and Sarah. They were both smiling and laughing. I could see it. I could see our future, as a family. It was beautiful. The sight of them was making my eyes water. I decided to join them.

~in Miss Jones' office~

I took a seat and so did Cheryl. I locked our hands together. Miss Jones went to grab the paperwork. I knew as soon as we spent time with her it would be settled. We would be taking her home. I put my other hand on Cheryl's cheek.

"I can't wait to start a family with you." I stated. A grin appeared on my wife's face. I pulled her in for a short kiss.
