The whole crew go on a camping trip. Toni and Cheryl have been friends for a while but aren't together. Part 3.

Authors note:
I put that video in because I just loved it. When Toni imagined Cheryl I thought it was adorable. And there duet...MY HEART. BTW this is a long chapter. Leave your opinions below.

Cheryl's POV

I was sat by the lake, just throwing some stones and thinking. This place, Sweet Water will always have a space in my heart. It would symbolize the dark period I went through, the part I wanted to put to the back of my memory. Yet I could never seem to escape it.

I had been having an incredible time with the gang. It did divert my thoughts for a while and make me forget about those things for some time. The problem was laying there, in the quiet trying to sleep, whilst being deafened by my thoughts.

After trying and trying to sleep, but failing each time, I chose to leave the tent and relax outside for a bit.

Toni's POV

I opened my heavy eyes. The place was quiet and peaceful. I guess I had woken up. I sent my eyes around the tent to see if everyone was asleep. To my surprise, Cheryl's space was empty. Betty and Veronica were practically on top of each other. I guess they had moved closer in their sleep.

I layed there, for what felt like hours but was likely minutes, getting lost in my flood of thoughts. They wouldn't stop. It was filled with stuff about Cheryl. No matter what I tried, I couldn't fall asleep. I decided it may be a good idea to take a short walk, to make me feel more tired and possibly find Cheryl too.

I quietly made my way out of the tent, to be met with the black night sky, dotted with stars. It was then, in the distance that I saw a certain redhead near the lake. I started to make my way over to her, whilst putting my hands in the pocket of my hoodie.

"Can't sleep Bombshell?" I asked as I took a seat next to her.

"Not really. To many things going through my head."

"Like what?"

"Well...It didn't hit me when I first agreed to this trip, but I have a few bad memories at Sweet Water." She explained. I put my hand on her leg before replying. I could see the pain in her eyes, the same that I saw when she came out to me.

"You know you can talk to me. You don't have to, but know that you can...if you want." My words earned a soft smile from my closest friend.

"Thanks, T. You know it's where my brother was found dead. It's also where...w-where I tried to do something really stupid." My face was filled with concern for her.

"After losing JJ, I didn't think I could cope. My mother didn't care or notice me anymore. So, I came to the lake and I tried to...to...end things. I didn't want to live on without my brother. I just couldn't. Luckily Veronica, Archie, Jughead and Betty came to save me." She continued. My heart broke for her, but I was glad she was able to talk about it with me. I could see tears collecting in her eyes, so I put my hand to her cheek to catch them.

"I was weak. I am weak. Maybe my mother was right." She added.

"Now you listen to me...you are the strongest, bravest most incredible person I know." I smiled.

"You really thinks so?"

"I know so." I continued. Cheryl smiled softly, placing her head on my shoulder. I pulled her in for a tight hug. I rubbed my hand on her arm. "You're cold."
