Chapter 5 - I Love Him

It had been a week since Sean and I last spoke to each other, ever since he told me he has a girlfriend I've just been feeling off. Lately I feel like someone is always around watching me.

I didn't want to be alone right now, and since I missed him anyway, I decided to text Sean.

Y/N: Hey Sean, mind hanging out today?

Sean: Of course we can! Where to?

Y/N: Hm, what about the cafe downtown?

Sean: Okay! meet there in 20?

Y/N: See ya then. :)

I then grabbed my bag and headed out the door to the cafe.

Halfway to the cafe I began to feel someone watching me, I looked behind me and saw no one, but the feeling still lingered.

I quickened my pace just to try and get away from whatever it was, not paying attention to where I was going, I ran into someone directly in front of the cafe.

He wrapped his arms around my waist to keep me from falling and without thinking I grabbed his shoulder to help, still not knowing who it was that helped.

"Y/N? are you okay?" Sean.

I turned my head towards him and instantly met with those ice blue eyes. "I uh-" I finally noticed my hand was still gripping his shoulder tightly, I gave an awkward smile and let go.

"I-I'm fine." He moved his arms from my waist and I took a step back.

"Are you sure?" He asked, a bit of concern in his voice. "You looked scared."

I smiled a bit "I'm fine, thank you, Sean."

"You're welcome." He then opened the cafe door for me "Ladies first."

I smirked a bit "Always the charmer McLoughlin."

He just smiled as I walked inside, we both ordered plain coffee and sat down in a booth near a window.

~ Sean's P.O.V ~

I was surprised when she asked me ta hang out today, honestly thought she hated me after how I said I had a girlfriend.

"So what made ya want ta hang out today?" I asked

She was staring out the window. She was acting a bit odd today.

She looked at me and smiled "I just missed you is all."

I couldn't help but smile. "I missed you too."

She looked me in the eyes and I met hers, She had the most amazing eyes, the most beautiful shade of E/C.

"I'm sorry, Y/N." She looked slightly confused.

"For what?"

"For what I said last week, I didn't mean ta just lay it on ya like that." I did feel guilty for the way I said it.

She smiled. "You have nothing to be sorry for Sean." She gently placed her hand over mine in the middle of the table. I prayed she couldn't see the blush forming.

"I'm happy for you, Just didn't expect someone like you to have a girlfriend" She joked and I laughed

"I'm surprised she puts up with how loud I am" She began laughing "It's a lot to get used to"

We looked at each other and smiled.

~ Y/N's P.O.V ~

I have to tell him how I feel, girlfriend or not he needs to know. I sat staring at him for a few minutes with my hand still over his, he didn't bother to move it.

"Sean, I need to tell you something." He seemed to snap back to reality, he must have been deep in thought as well.

"What is it?"

"Sean.. I-" I was cut off by his phone ringing.

He looked at his phone and then back at me as if he was asking me if he could answer it.

"Go ahead" I smiled a bit, he picked up his phone and began talking.

"Hello?, Well actually-." He sighed. I took that as the sign he was going to leave.

"Okay. Bye." He hung up and looked at me "I need to go, what did you want to tell me?"

I smiled at him and shook my head "It's nothing. Just glad we hung out today, thanks Sean."

He smiled back "We'll hang out again soon, I promise." He moved his hand on top of mine.

We sat there for a few moments until we both got up, I suddenly stopped. I felt the eyes again.

"Um sean."

"Yes?"

"H-How soon do you need to be wherever you need?" I didn't want to walk home alone. Not with this weird feeling of me always being watched. It frightened me.

"I can take a few minutes, why?" He looked concerned again.

"If it's not too much to ask, could you walk me home?" Practically begging him with my eyes.

"Of course. Let's go." He smiled and walked me home. I just felt safer with Sean around.

I loved him.
