I had been talking with F/N and Spike for about an hour now, I told them almost everything that had happened today. Afterwards Spike noticed I was still a bit upset, I may have not mentioned the "girlfriend" part.
"Y/N, there is something you're not telling us." He said, I knew there was no lying to him, but I was going to try anyway.
"No, I told you everything."
"Bullshit. You know you can tell us, Please." I looked up at him and he stared right into my eyes getting even more hints that I wasn't telling them the whole story.
I sighed and looked down again, running my hand through my hair I let out another sigh and looked back up "He... He has a girlfriend." Both of them looked a little shocked, then F/N placed her hand on my knee.
"It's okay, Y/N. It doesn't mean he's going to be with them forever." I just looked down, I knew it was selfish of me to put my feelings before Sean's happiness, But dammit if it didn't hurt.
"I thought all these feelings were gone.. Then we started talking and I just.. Fell again.."
"Well you had those feelings for a long time." She reminded me. "Feelings like that have a way of tracking you down."
"Like you're meant to be together!" Spike yelled a little excitedly but all I could do was sigh "Why would he like me now? I'm just the girl he once knew in college." I rolled my eyes at the last part.
"Now come on! feelings can change! you just have to stay positive! now why don't we all go out for lunch?!" Spike suggested, he really was a great friend. I couldn't help but smile. "That'd be nice."
"Great! now go and get your purse, we'll be here waiting!" I did as he suggested and went to go grab my bag.
~ Spike's P.O.V ~
I looked over at F/N and she had this look on her face, and I knew exactly what she was thinking.
"So we're getting them together yeah?" I asked with a smirk on my face.
"Oh most definitely." She smiled back, We both knew Sean had a crush on her in college, and she was head over heels for him back then. We had to get them together, But how?
"Any suggestions on how we do that?" I asked, then we heard Y/N returning.
"We'll talk later." She said and we ended the conversation there.
I smiled as Y/N returned "let's go!" I said excitedly as we all left for lunch.
~ Sean's P.O.V ~
"Why did I say that?" was all I could think at the moment. I knew I had hurt her, And I felt god awful about it. Spike had told me she had a crush on me back in college but I didn't believe him, At least not until I saw the pain in her eyes.
Those eyes were all I could think about as I arrived home. My girlfriend was sitting on the couch not even acknowledging that I had walked in, It was always like this. It felt more like we were roommates than together. It wasn't until I put my bag down and it made a sound that she finally noticed I was standing there.
"Hey Sean, lunch is in the kitchen if you're hungry." She spoke plainly.
"Okay, Thanks." With that I grabbed some food and went to my recording room, this was my place to think.
I couldn't stop thinking about Y/N. I needed advice from someone I know I can trust. I grabbed my phone and began texting a friend I knew wouldn't hold back what he was thinking.
Mark.
Sean: Hey Mark! I need some advice.
Mark: Of course! What do ya need?
Sean: You remember that Y/N girl I told you about yes?
Mark: Yessss
Sean: Well, I met up with her again today, and we got ta talking. And I think I still have feelings for her. I thought they had disappeared after all these years but, just seeing her today..
I ended my text there, positive he would be able to finish the sentence.
Mark: Well, there's only a few questions you need to ask yourself.
1. Are you REALLY happy with your current relationship?
2. Are you POSITIVE that you still have feelings for her, and that she has feelings for you?
3. Do you want to be with her?
I looked at the text thinking about the answers, It didn't take much thought really. I wasn't happy with my current relationship, I was almost positive my girlfriend wasn't either. I KNOW she has feelings for me now, and I am positive I have feelings for her. And yes, I do want to be with her.
Sean: Well I think I've found my answer, Thanks man.
Mark: Anytime, by the way I'll be in Brighton in about a week for my tour, we should definitely hang out!
Sean: Of course! can't wait!
I then locked my phone and was back, deep in thought. I knew what I had to do now.
It was just actually going through with it that would be difficult.
