You checked the time for the third time in the last five minutes. With a sigh, you looked around you, eyes falling on the only other people in the room. A couple sharing a slice of chocolate cake sitting just a few tables away from you. They got lucky, you thought.

You've been sitting in this café for more than an hour, waiting on a girl who was most likely not gonna show up.

Your best friend set you up on a blind date with a coworker of his and at first it seemed like a great idea. It had been a while since you went on a date and the picture he showed you made her look hot so denying his offer never crossed your mind.

Right now you kinda wish you did, though, to save you from the embarrassment of being stood up.

You closed your eyes, leaning your head on your hand, focusing on the sound of rain falling outside.

The smell of coffee suddenly filled your nose as warmth spread across your face. You opened your eyes, finding that a steaming cup of coffee had been placed in front of you.

You stared at the object with furrowed brows confused on how it got there, clearly lacking common sense, when someone cleared their throat.

A beautiful brunette was standing next to the table, with a sympathetic smile on her lips. For a second you thought your date finally arrived but the uniform she was wearing, which made her look extremely cute, made you think otherwise.

"You looked like you needed it." she gestured to the still untouched cup on the table.

"Oh, yeah. Thank you, uhm-" you paused giving her a once-over "Chaeyoung."

Chaeyoung tilted her head to the side, with a cute pout and a confused expression. You smiled at her cute actions, pointing at the name tag on her black apron.

She chuckled nodding her head, "Of course."

You grabbed the cup taking a sip of the warm liquid. Truth be told, you weren't a fan of coffee, tea was your go-to beverage, but it was a kind gesture from a beautiful girl and refusing seemed rude.

"Slow day?" you asked looking at the many empty tables.

"Yeah, it's rare to see this place so quiet." she gestured to the empty seat in front of you. You nodded pushing the chair slightly back using your foot.

"What happened to you? You've been here for a while looking all gloomy." She sat down, leaning her elbows on the table and putting her head on both her hands.

You stared at her pouted lips for probably way too long but she didn't seem to notice, "I got stood up, I guess." You cringed at the sentence.

"That's what I thought. I feel sorry for you." She cutely scrunched up her nose with a small smile.

"It's okay. I found better company anyway." You smiled as her eyes widened for a split second, probably taken aback by the sudden turn this situation was taking.

"So I've become your date, is that what you're saying?" She tried to keep a neutral expression but you could clearly see the smile tugging at her lips.

"I mean, if you're interested." You shrugged innocently.

"Mh." she tapped her finger on her chin as if she was thinking intensely about something. "Let's play twenty questions."

You chuckled nodding, "Alright. You start."

"What's your name?"

"Y/N, but you can call me anytime." you grinned proud of yourself as she snorted, cringing at the cheesy pick up line.

"That's what we're not gonna do." she pointed her finger at me, lips pursed.

"Fine, be like that." you raised your hands in surrender. "My turn now. How old are you?"

You went on like that for you don't know how long, time seemed to fly with her. You learned many things about each other, like how she was from Australia or how her friends call her Rosé, which you told her it suited her really well since she was as pretty as a rose and you saw her blush for the first time.

As you grew more and more interested in Chaeyoung, it seemed like she was feeling the same and you couldn't be more thankful to the girl who stood you up.

As Rosé was laughing at something stupid you said, a middle aged man came out from the back of the counter calling for her.

"I'll be right there!" she turned pouting at you "I have to leave you."

You gasped, desperately reaching for her hands "No, don't leave me yet."

She giggled at your act, playing along "They won't divide us, my dear. I'll be right back." she got up, walking backwards. Your hands dropping in your lap once she got out of reach.

As you watched her stand at the counter writing something down, you smiled to yourself. What could've been a terrible day turned into the best day of your life.

You got comfortable in your seat, waiting for Rosé to come back. Looking out of the window you saw how it turned dark already, meaning you must've been talking for hours to the gorgeous waitress.

Somebody's hand was suddenly on yours, putting something against your palm as you felt soft lips pressed against your cheek.

"Call me." Rosé winked at you, a blush on her face matching yours as she ran to her waiting boss.

You placed a hand on your cheek as you opened your other hand finding a small piece of paper with a phone number and a smiling heart drawn next to it.

A huge grin took over your features, probably making you look like a fool to others but you couldn't care less. You've never felt happier.

As soon as you stepped outside, smile still in place, your phone started ringing showing your best friend's name and you picked up right away.

"Dude, you won't believe what happened."
