It was around 3AM when the insisting vibration of your phone woke you up. You grabbed it with a groan and answered without checking who was calling. "What?"

"Did I wake you?" the cautious and sweet voice could easily be recognized. Rosé.

"Yeah but it's fine." you sat up clearing your throat to get the sleepiness out of your voice. "What's up? Are you okay?"

"I'm outside."

"Okay. Give me a second." you ended the call and rushed to get some clothes on. Stopping at a mirror near the entrance, you fixed your hair the best you could and popped a mint in your mouth.

Once you opened the door, your eyes immediately fell on the heavy looking duffle bag Rosé was holding. You pointed at it, finding her eyes focused on you. "Hey. What's up with that?"

"Wanna go on a road trip with me?"

You chuckled taken aback by the sudden offer. "Rosie, it's 3AM. Are you drunk?" she smiled and pushed past you and into your apartment, dropping the bag near the couch. She looked around your place and grabbed the half drank Red Bull can sitting on the coffee table, taking a sip.

"I'm tired, stressed and in need of a break." she walked closer to you and leaned on the wall grabbing one of your hands with both of hers. "And you seemed like the right guy to go to."

"Of course I did." you scoffed smiling and took a step closer, looking down at your intertwined hands. "What was your plan exactly? You come here in the middle of the night, ask me to go on a road trip and then what?"

"And then, we get into your car, drive wherever and stop at the first place we both like."

You narrowed your eyes, studying her expression. "You didn't put much thought into it, did you?" she immediately shook her head making the both of you laugh.

You stared at the clock hanging above the TV, considering your options. You'd have to call into work to ask for days off you already knew you weren't gonna get. They already gave you a warning the last time you skipped a day without notifying so you'd get fired if you skipped another. But maybe it was for the best. The office life didn't really suit you and you had this girl you were head over heels in love with, asking you to go on a roadtrip together. The right answer was pretty obvious.

"Alright. I'll go pack."

Rosé squealed throwing her arms around your neck, bringing you into a quick hug. "I knew you'd say yes. Come on, I'll help you."

With that, she grabbed your arm and dragged you into your room.

"We all set?" you watched Rosé put her seatbelt on and check in the back if everything was there. Once she gave you the okay, you started driving in a random direction as she connected her phone to the radio and soft music started playing.

The sun was just starting to rise, the sky was free of clouds and the horizon was colored in reds and oranges making everything look better, calmer. You glanced in Rosé's direction as she stared out the window with a content smile. The colors of the sunrise reflected in her eyes and made her skin glow. A soft warm breeze coming in from the rolled down window brushed her hair back. She looked beautiful. You turned your eyes back to the road releasing a soft breath.

As you entered the highway, the sound of a notification broke the bubble of peace and quiet you were in. Rosé grabbed her phone and pouted reading the text, before deleting it. "Oops."

"Who was that?"

"My manager, asking where I am." she leaned her back on the door, facing you.

Your eyes widened, suddenly feeling agitated, as your eyes skipped from the street to her face multiple times. "You didn't tell him?!"
