"Oh, Ashlyn's here," Liane mumbles, untangling her body from Michael's.

"I could've taken back to the university," he mumbles, tugging her back onto his bed. She giggles while trying to get out of his grip.

"You just took me to a movie, you don't need to take me back there," she shrugs. She finally frees her body from Michael's and starts making her way out of his bedroom. Michael makes some sort of whining noise and rolls off of his bed before following his girlfriend out.

"Wait, don't leave," he whines right before she could step out.

"Mikey, I gotta go, classes start tomorrow," she laughs quietly, nodding her head towards Ashlyn's car. "And you're still tired, go back to sleep."

"I wanted a kiss first," he pouts. Liane rolls her eyes, fighting a smile and cups his cheeks to bring him closer and meets his lips with hers in a chaste kiss. He's quick to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her back when she tries to pull away.

"Aye, lovebugs!" Ashlyn calls, honking her horn, "Some of us have class tomorrow!"

"Shut up, Ashlyn, it's only nine!" Liane responds after pulling away from Michael. "I gotta go, I love you." She quickly pecks his lips and removes her body away from his.

"I love you," he replies before she could get in the car.

...

"School is shit," Ashlyn huffs, dropping her physics book on her bed.

"Honestly, I'd rather take physics than calculus," Liane laughs quietly.

"I don't want to talk about classes. What happened with Michael?" She questions, sitting on Liane's bed next to her.

"Well, Calum practically forced me to show him the cuts. He cried a bit, I cried a bit, but other than that it went pretty well. Then, he asked me to be his girlfriend."

"You said yes, right?" Ashlyn asks excitedly, grabbing at Liane's shoulders.

"Of course I said yes." She laughs and gently pushes Ashlyn's hands of her shoulders.

"Oh my god, we should invite Elena over and we can go get dinner or something to celebrate," she suggests with the same excited tone. "Unless you have plans with Michael."

"No, I'm free, but there's no need to celebrate," she smiles lightly, "I mean, we can still go get something to eat, but yeah."

"Whatever you say." She pulls out her phone to text her stepsister.

By the time Elena showed up at their dorm, the two girls had already changed and were ready to go. "Hello," she mumbles, walking into the dorm.

"What crawled up your ass?" Ashlyn asks, looking up from her phone.

"My ex is bothering me again," she sighs while slumping next to Liane.

"That Luke guy again?" Ashlyn questions.

"Yes."

"I don't see why you don't just take him back, he's hot," she shrugs. "You need to see a picture of this guy," Ashlyn laughs, pulling out her phone once again.

"Are you two really going to gush over how hot he is?" Elena asks, scrunching her face slightly.

"Oh, he is hot," Liane murmurs, "why'd you dump him again?"

"Our relationship was ... odd," she shrugs.

"Let's get away from the subject of exes, Michael finally asked Liane to be his girlfriend," Ashlyn cheers, clapping her hands lightly.

"Who asked what?" Elena asks, eyes wide.

"Remember how I told you about the guy Liane had been seeing? Well, he asked her to be his girlfriend," she explains with a cheerful smile.

"His name is Michael?" She clarifies. When the two of them nod, she continues, "What's, uh, what's he like?"

"Well, now he has lilac hair, but I'm pretty sure it isn't going to stay in for much longer, uh, what else?" She pauses for a second. "He may seem like he's a badass, but he's pretty sappy and really fucking adorable." Not wanting to give away any of his personal life, she stops there.

"Yup, that's him," Elena sighs.

"What? You know him?" Liane questions.

"Eh, kinda," she lies, shrugging. Of course she knew him, she broke his heart, but she still loved him. And Liane was her friend, but she would go to all ends to get him back.
