[three months later]
[so like december]
“Calum, you’re going to fucking burn them,” Liane giggles, pushing the dark haired boy away from the stove gently. “I’ll cook it.” Calum huffs as she starts flipping the bacon quickly to finish them up.
“You told me I could do it,” he pouts, leaning over the counter next to her and watching as she puts all of the strips on a plate.
“I lied.” Calum makes some sort of whining noise before trudging behind the smiling blonde. “When is Michael coming back?”
Michael had to go back to his doctor to pick up his anti-depressants – even though he never took them anymore, since he didn’t feel the need to. “I’m not sure, he should be back soon though,” she assures him, “I know you miss your Mikey,” she coos with a light giggle, setting the last of their breakfast on the table.
“Shut up,” he whines, plopping down in one of the chairs.
“I’m home,” Michael sings as he strides into the flat. Liane’s heart flutters – cheesy – at the sound of her boyfriend’s happy voice. “Hi, baby,” he murmurs against her cheek after kissing it lightly from behind her.
“Hey,” she chirps, turning to face him and gently pecking his lips. “I made breakfast.” Calum starts obnoxiously couching from behind her, making her roll her eyes. “We made breakfast,” she sarcastically says, fighting a smile.
“Can I talk to you for a second?” Michael asks, directing his attention back to his girlfriend.
“Yeah, that’s fine,” Liane shrugs, swallowing hard. She follows him to the kitchen while Calum makes his way to the living room to make himself comfortable on the couch. “Is everything okay?” She questions cautiously, pushing her body on the counter
“Guess what the doctor told me,” he grins at her, standing in between her legs and placing his lands flat on her bare thighs.
“What did the doctor tell you?” She laughs quietly, letting her body relax and loosely wrapping her arms around Michael’s neck.
“I don’t want to bore you with extra details, but he told me there were no signs of depression and that I even need the pills.” He had a face-splitting smile on his face and Liane couldn’t even try to contain her own smile.
“That’s wonderful, Mikey,” she whispers, leaning forward to meet his lips with hers.
“Thank you,” he smiles up at her, eyes bright.
“For what?” She laughs, pulling away barely.
“This is only because of you,” he points out as if it were the most obvious thing.
“It is not, you did this all on your own.” She shakes her head, still smiling bright, and pulls away fully from him.
“You fixed my problems, babe, you should be pretty proud,” he teases.
“So very proud,” she jokes, pushing him away and hopping off the counter. “Come on, so we can eat.”
“Wait,” Michael stops her, taking ahold of her wrist and tugging her back to him.
“Yes?” She questions with a light smile. He cups her cheeks and gently presses their lips together.
“I love you.”
