If you looked at the city from any direction possible - it just looked all black. Most people dressed clothes that have dark colors, but the brighter individuals still existed. It was easy to spot them. Just like Taehyung, who you could spot from miles away. He was like a white swan in a lake of black ones.

The boy wasn't rushing : stepping forward slowly but confidently, daydreaming and letting himself drown in the sound of music that was coming from his earphones.

He snapped out of his trance after feeling his shoulder bumb into someone else's - "Sorry", - he turned his head back and apologized, but no one was there to get mad at him for not looking where he's going, so he thought that the guy went on.

He was already nearing Jeongguks's house, which he realised by passing the Café they used to go to when they were younger and skipped lessons. But his attention was immediately focused elsewhere. He slowed down even more than he was walking before. In a few seconds Taehyung fully stopped to take in the new sight.

-- Taehyung's p.o.v. --

'So the rumors were true..?', -I asked myself or someone else in my head. The new skyscraper that everyone was talking about in the city was right before me. It was huge, I couldn't even see the top of it because of the usual smog. I remembered everything I've heard of it, which wasn't much, but now I could compare my imaginings to reality: it was expected to be the highest building in the town and I won't even doubt that it is.

'You could watch the sun set from the top of it'. We usually don't see the sun rising or setting, neither all the warm colors. I think you already know why.

I was surprised to see no one else looking at it and the hypnotizing green lights. I felt an urge to inspect it from even closer, but something was stopping me.
Couldn't understand if it was mild fear or something else. I still had to get to Jeongguk's house, so once again I had to snap back to reality and turn my eyes elsewhere from the black and green building.
I'll talk to Guk about it. Maybe he knows more?

We used to hang out much more when we were younger. But it's different now. He's different. Typical youth I guess. I still remember the happy coconut head boy who was admired by a lot of people. Now he's just constantly on edge.

I don't even understand why we are still friends.
Maybe we're just attached to each other because we've known one another our entire lives?

Ruining my mood with these thoughts, I found myself stepping on the 'ruiner of moods' porch, ready to push the bell button. As my finger was millimeters away from it - a voice came from a direction I expected the least - above me:

-"You can just come in, you know?"

I was confused for a few seconds, then looked up and saw Guk in his balcony, obviously looking down at me.
-"It's been a while so I wasn't sure"- I replied louder so he could hear me from up there.

Not wasting any more time I let myself in, taking off the shoes and heading straight for the spiral stairs to the second floor that were at the end of the spacey hallway.

After climbing up the stairs, I could immediately notice the light coming from one of the slightly open doors. It was Jeongguk's room. I got closer and lightly pushed it, not making any sound. It's 2476 after all, we don't have creaky doors and floor like people did a few hundred and/or more years ago.
I stepped into the room saying, - "You shouldn't breathe that air too much", and startling him.

-"Don't creep up on me like that, please and thank you"-sighing he turned to look at the city side again.

-"Sorry"- was all I could say without putting much thought into. I joined him in the balcony, scanning the surroundings. After spotting the same skyscraper, questions I wanted to ask came back to my head. But that could wait.

-"Why did you want me to come? We could have sorted the car thing out in the school".

-"Forget that, you can have a sleepover here. My parents won't be home for a week starting today".

-"We're going to be all alone?" I was more shocked at his sudden change of actions, than afraid of staying alone in a huge house.

Guk then chuckled-"We can invite someone else if you're scared I might do something".

-"It's not that",-sure, he was intimidating but I didn't fear him in any way. He couldn't hurt anyone physically. Maybe.

-"Good. Let's go inside",- he uttered, letting me go in first and closing the glass door behind himself.

-"By the way, you probably saw the new-built skyscraper. I wanted to ask if you know something interesting about it".

-"I don't know much more than you do - It's owned by FOMA organization, which everyone defines as 'shady'. But I believe that they're not. Every three years they gather seven or more individuals with superpowers that are uncommon and train them for reasons not many know".

Now I was curious as hell - "... do you know the reasons?".

-"No, but I'll try searching it up."

I nodded and looked at him . Was he ever this talkative? The answer is no. But I was happy, since it's much more comfortable like that. -"Now that I know you're not mad at me anymore, I'll be going then".

-"Let me see you off".

Jeongguk's p.o.v.

-"Let me see you off", we left my room not even seconds after these words were spoken. I wanted Taehyung to stay longer, but he already noticed that I'm acting weird. Hence, I had to wait 'till Friday.

-"When can I come here on Friday?"

He asked me calmly, but his eyes were demanding an answer. I thought for a minute, waiting for him to put on his shoes. -"Anytime after school, really".

Seeing his lips curve into a smile was enough for me to be the happy kid I always used to be. But I couldn't. - "Okay", Tae said and opened the door, pulling on the same face mask as he went out to my front yard- "Let's talk later!", he sang and I waved at him a bit.

I made my way to my room and collapsed on the soft bed sheets, thinking of what happened today and what will happen later. My mind was preoccupied with only one thing

and it was Taehyung.

'I don't want you to see me the way I see myself. '
