It's cold.

It was always cold at night; freezing, even. So only a jacket wouldn't be enough to keep you warm.

But there he was, wandering the streets with a thin, crimson jacket. Not even fastened up. He didn't care about nor felt the cold biting every bit of his exposed skin - he was out of his body, mind wandering somewhere above the clouds.

He didn't know what he was supposed to say when he got home. He didn't know how to explain. That was his biggest worry every time it happened.
What he did know though was that his friends, the only people who cared about him wholeheartedly, were losing trust in him. They didn't show it, but he knew.

He was betraying them. Slowly.

And he hated himself for that.

But he didn't have a choice.

With his fears in mind he neared the rather small apartment building. A few yellow or white-ish lights glowed through window only to be absorbed by the dark color of the night. It was easy to spot their living room light, which was on the fifth floor.

He noticed the constant movement of shadows and knew what was up - his friends were freaking out. Even Yoongi might be here by now, he thought. He had to go in no matter what. Yes, it's been almost four days since he dissappeared, so he couldn't lie anymore. But he couldn't tell all the truth either.

Fuck. He was freaking out as much as them.

It's all his fault.

'You can just disappear forever', he considered this a lot of times only to realize he can't leave them. He can't betray them entirely.

But he already did.

He sat down on the bench next to the building he feared entering, took out his phone and turned it on. He had it turned off all this time so it couldn't be tracked. It's holographic light blinded him for a few seconds, after his eyes adjusted to it - he examined the view of hundreds of messages and missed calls, a few warnings about unidentified failed log-ins to the device.

A sigh of guilt escaped his mouth, with that he made the final decision. He hoped it's the right one. He won't hurt them anymore.

Seokjin opened their chat group, not reading any of the older messages. As soon as he came online, Namjoon did too, only to be followed by others. They were sending messages, but Jin didn't read them. Everything was blurry and he was focused on what he was writing to them.

He didn't want to write a paragraph.

So he went with two sentences :

"I'm sorry, everyone. I hope you forgive me someday, even if it's in another life. Goodbye."

He logged off. Before deleting everything off his phone he dialed a number.

"What's up Gleed? I thought you said you weren't going to contact me while at home"

"Pick me up. Please. I'll be at the Zeno bridge."

Immediately after hanging up, the countdown for complete deleting of his phone started.

He didn't cry.

He just wanted to scream.

He left them.
