Jeongguk's pov

I hate it when I come late to class and everyone looks at me like I killed a person...

... when I actually killed three.

"Good morning, I'm sorry I'm late"- I said, sounding a bit annoyed at having to be in this situation. But at that point I could only blame myself.

Small but thick, round glasses on the teachers' nose added some strictness to that look of his - "What's your excuse this time?".

I paused, rethinking my response. This teacher probably was the one that Taehyung told me about.

The mind reader.

Not many people know that he's only able to read your thoughts while holding eye contact. Internally smiling, if that's even possible, I looked at the space between his eyes.

"I had to speak with our curator."

"... You can sit down, Jeon."

A few small nods came from me after these words. I hoped that he won't inform my parents about me being late.

I went to the seat in the back which I spotted earlier. I plopped down on the usual uncomfortable chair, got out all the necessary books and notebooks and stared blankly at the front of the class. So-called mind reader continued the lesson, mentioning it's theme one more time:

"As most of you recall,"- he shot a one second-lasting glance at me, since I was the only one who didn't know today's lessons theme-"I was talking about people and beings whose genetics are extremely rare and result in the individual being able to have more than two powers.
We call them Upper-level Entities.

'Upper-level Entities, huh?'.
