On The Run

For some reason as I was looking at him I felt nothing but a rush of adrenaline. It's like something inside me was telling me to kiss him but I'm not dumb I know my boundaries, I thought anyways. I think he knew what I was thinking because he leaned in just a little bit. I could feel my heart pumping. I leaned in, our eyes still locked. Our lips just a few inches apart. Our breaths were getting heavier by the second. As I went to lean in just a little more I heard the door knob jingle. I hurried up and pulled away then rushed to the door. Jackson looked at me surprised.

"Oh hey I didn't know you were here!"
"Yeah I couldn't find you so I just came in here." I said letting out a deep breath.
"I was in the pool but one of the freshmen threw up in it and I was not about to keep swimming."

We all laughed and talked for a few minutes.
Adam and I exchanged uncomfortable looks throughout the meaningless conversation. It's not like I cheated on Jackson we didn't kiss. Besides, he's kissed other girls and talked to them for months on end. So it's fine, I love him so much. He is my happiness. He has a way with his words that make my insides melt, and a way he looks into my eye makes my heart beat fast. I would never cheat on him, especially with Adam!
We've been together for almost two years now, it's almost like a routine. I don't remember what life was like without him. I truly did love him with everything in me.

After we talked I went to the kitchen and filled up my drink and went upstairs to Jackson's room. I sat down on my bed and scrolled mindlessly through Snap for a few minutes. Then I grabbed my bathing suit I had brought and slipped it on. I went downstairs and to the jacuzzi by the pool. Before I got in I checked for any throw up. I knew it was in the pool but you never know. I wrapped my phone in a towel and set it on the small wooden table. I got in and examined my surroundings. There really wasn't any one inside the hot tub just some freshmen and his girlfriend were making out in the corner. Some people were still swimming around and others were sitting in chairs or drinking by the fire. I was at peace. I closed my eyes and tried to block out the music and people talking. A few minutes later I was disrupted by the kids across from me getting out and someone coming in. I looked up and saw Adam and Jackson getting in together. They both sat next to me, Adam on my right and Jackson on my left.

"Hi babe." Jackson said kissing my neck playfully and putting his arm around me.
"Hey." I said softly.
"Whatcha doing all alone in here?" Adam asked
"Relaxing." I said in a cocky way closing my eyes.

There was silence for a few minutes, I almost fell asleep. Then I heard Adam whisper, "Dude look." I opened my eyes just a little bit and saw them mouthing back and forth. Then I heard Adam say quietly, "You have a hickey on your neck."
