My feelings were all over the place. It's so hard because I love Jackson with all my heart! But Adam, he has a way with his words and the way he makes my heart skip a beat when he says my name. I know to most it probably looks obvious, pick Adam leave Jackson. But it's not that easy and I wished it was. Jackson and I were best friends when we started 7th grade, we were inseparable. We would hang out almost everyday after school and would hang out on the weekends, but during the summer before our Freshmen year something changed.

I remember that day like the back of my hand. Adam, Jackson, and their mom Julia came over to my house for dinner. That was back when Claire and my dad were still together. Claire had made Chicken Parmesan, I remember it tasted so good. We all had a good time just talking, our two wonderful families combined. Then after dinner our parents were in the living room watching tv while Adam, Jackson, and I were in my room playing Halo. We had paused the game so Adam could use the bathroom so we just sat in silence for a few seconds until Jackson turned to me. He just stared in my eyes and smiled at me. Before I knew it he had leaned in and kissed me! It was my first kiss and I didn't know how to respond so I pulled away. He was embarrassed and started to get up till I pulled him back onto the bed by his shirt and kissed him again. After that we started flirting with each other then we eventually started dating. Now we're here.

After we left the cemetery Adam went home and so did I. I opened the door and saw my dad, Brian sitting at the table looking through papers. He looked up and smiled at me.

"Hey kid."
"Hey dad." I said as I sat my stuff down on the couch and made my way to the kitchen. I opened the cabinet and pulled out a small granola bar and started to eat it.
"Did you have fun?" My dad asked eying me.
"He did it again." I said quietly hoping he didn't hear me.
"Tatiana I've told you to get rid of that boy over and over! You're way too good for him! You need to get away from that toxic relationship. You're destroying yourself."
"It's not that easy dad and you know that. So can we just not talk about it." I said leaving the kitchen and making my way upstairs.

I opened my bedroom door and slammed it shut. I threw my bag on my bed and grabbed the bag of bacon I had got from Jackson and started to eat it. I had to find comfort in something and that something was food.

After about an hour of sobbing and stuffing my face I got up and started deep cleaning my room. It was summer now so I needed to go through all my school shit and other junk I didn't need. I turned on some music and lit a candle. Then I got on some black shorts and a tank top and started working.
