- time skip 5 days -

A few days passed, the fire was tamed that night and Adam and Julia have been trying to figure out what to do. It's now Thursday and they still have nothing. They have both been staying in the guest room of my house. My dad doesn't mind. He loves the family. We have tired looking for Jackson but we can't find him. Since he's a minor he's going to face a lighter sentence and they have a good bit of money to help bail him out. I don't think they should though, I mean for Christ sake he burned her house down! The police are on the lookout but there isn't much they can do. Adam and I have been looking for apartments for him and his mom to stay in temporary. Things could have been better. Today we're going to the house so see if we can recover anything. Most of the basement was untouched and a few rooms in the back were in somewhat good condition. It was about 6 in the morning and I started getting ready, I knew we were gonna leave about 9. I didn't know if anyone else was awake though.

I was putting up my hair when I heard a knock on my bedroom door. "Come in." I said as Adam opened the door and shut it quietly. I looked over to him; he was wearing a white tank top and black sweatpants, his hair was a mess and the bags under his eyes were larger then normal.

"No sleep?" I asked
"What's sleep." He replied throwing himself on my bed and closing his eyes.

He looked adorable, I still didn't know my feelings for him yet and sometimes I had the urge to kiss him all over, and I did. And I liked it.

I pulled my hair up and laid next to him. I pulled the blankets over us and cuddled him. He was so warm. A few moments passed and he sat up.

"Tati."
"Hm." I said my eyes still closed.
"We should do something tomorrow, you know for the 4th of July. Your dad told me he was gonna take my mom out for dinner so maybe we can do something." He said looking back to me.
"I'm sure we could. Would you want to go out and get food and see fireworks or just stay in and watch the neighbors light theirs?" I asked.
"We should stay here."
"Okay cool."

We went to the house a few hours later and were almost done looking through things. We had quite a few things surprisingly; the tv from down stairs and mostly everything else down there, some books, Julia's safe, some clothes, and a few family portraits. Julia was loading some things in the car while Adam and I went down what would be the hallway. It was very hard to look at. I turned and opened the office door. Everything inside was untouched. It looked perfectly normal. Adam smiled, for the first time in a few days. He sat down in the same chair he was when we almost kissed for the first time. I sat down across from him.

"I mean Jackson's not here to interrupt us now." Adam said quietly.

We both smiled and he leaned in. My heart sped up like it did once before. Memories of that night circled though my head. I pressed our lips together and we kissed very passionately. Our lips were locked together for the next few seconds. Then a familiar voice came from the corner of the room. My heart dropped when we pulled away and looked over at the closet.

"So you're fucking my brother now? Okay bitch." Jackson said with an evil look.
