I was in the hot tub for a little over an hour. Jackson was upstairs and Adam was eyeing me through the kitchen window. He came out every few minutes to ask if I needed anything. He came out once again and I watched as he awkwardly made his way toward me.

"No I don't need anything." I said rolling my eyes.
"It's not that. He said looking up to Jackson's bedroom window. Look up."

I did as he said and didn't see anything for a second. Then I seen Jackson open his door and push a girl up against his wall, kissing her. I felt my stomach knot up.

"I don't know if I can do this anymore. I love him. So fucking much. You have no idea. He was my first everything! He treated me so good in the beginning. He tried. Now he just uses me; and I let him! I just don't know what to do." I said as I started crying.
"We have 2 months of summer, you can spend it crying over a boy who treats you like shit. or you can be single and find yourself again and make yourself happy."
"I'm happy with him." I said quietly
"Then why are you crying right now and why did we kiss a few hours ago?"
I hesitated, "that was a mistake." I said rolling my eyes.
"Oh yeah?" He said taking off his shirt and climbing in the hot tub.
"Adam, what are you doing." I said as he sat next to me. He looked in my eyes and didn't say a word. He took his hand and wiped away the tear that was halfway down my face.

"You don't deserve to cry. You deserve to smile." With that he brought our lips together and kissed me softly.

I had been in a routine with Jackson. This was someone new. I knew I should get rid of Jackson but I couldn't bare to part with him, he was my world and Adam was something trying to come between that. I'm letting him! But I kept kissing him, enjoying the touch of his soft lips. Maybe he was what I needed to finally be happy. Maybe we could be something. I would have to get over Jackson first.

That night Adam and I fell asleep on the couch together playing Fortnite, while Jackson was sound asleep with Mollie wrapped around him. I didn't care. I think at least. Maybe Adam would be the one. Maybe we would last.
I woke up the next morning to the smell of bacon cooking. I opened my eyes just enough to see it was Jackson. I looked to the other side of the couch where Adam was laying. We had fallen asleep holding hands. I smiled as I rubbed my thumb slowly on his. I got up and walked over to the kitchen. I grabbed a handful of bacon and put it in a plastic bag.

"Okay fatass." Jackson said looking over at me.

I ignored him and quickly went upstairs to grab my bag from Jackson's room. I grabbed my keys from the kitchen counter and walked towards the door. I stoped for a moment and went over to Adam who was still asleep. I caressed his smooth cheek and kissed his forehead. I then went outside and got in my car.
