The rest of that night we talked back and forth while continuing our game of Halo. We fell asleep in each other's arms on my bed. It was 8AM. Jackson was still sleeping as I got up and started to get ready for the day. I got on black ripped jeans and a white NASA shirt. I braided my hair to the side and put on some concealer along with mascara. This was the first time in a while I actually felt cute and felt comfortable with myself. I always liked getting all dolled up even if the furthest I'd go was to the fridge. I brushed my teeth and went downstairs. My dad was sitting at the table reading the news paper sipping on coffee.

"Good morning princess." My dad said raising his eyebrows at me.
"Don't give me that look, we're fine we had a talk last night. I think things are gonna change and if they don't, I think I'm going to have to do what's best for me."
"I just said good morning jeez." He said chuckling to himself.

I opened the freezer and grabbed out some strawberry toaster strudels and put in the toaster. As I waited for them to pop up I straightened up the kitchen. I shuffled through some mail and found a letter. It was from Claire addresses to my dad, it didn't have a stamp on it. I thought for a few seconds and turned towards my dad. I didn't say anything. I just put it back and got my breakfast. Jackson soon came down and fixed himself something to eat while him and my dad talked.

"Have you seen your mom lately?" My dad asked.
"Oh yeah she stopped by Wednesday, I think it was. She dropped off some groceries and some money. She texted Adam last night and said she was probably gonna stay at the house for a few nights to clear her head."
"Well that sounds fun maybe you could take her out for dinner or something. I'm sure she probably just wants to spend sometime with her boys." My dad said trying to be positive about it.

Him and Julia had been good friends in highschool but drifted off after they attended college. When Jackson and I became better friends they did as well, then the whole Randy thing happened and she was so devastated she didn't know what to do with herself. One day she just stopped coming home, she would often go to parties and stay with her friends. She did try her best to keep in contact with Jack and Adam, which is a good thing.

"How's Adam, I haven't seen him since what Christmas?" My dad asked trying to steer away from the Julia conversation.
"Oh yeah he's good."
"Does he have a girlfriend now?"
"Oh no not yet. I actually asked him about that the other day. He said he's trying to pursue this one girl but doesn't know if it will work out."
"That's a shame, he needs to find a girl like Tatiana." My dad said this looking over at my slyly. I just smiled gently.

Fuck.
