Molly's P.O.V

I felt Tom's warm, steady breaths on the back of my neck. His arms were around me. I felt warm, safe, protected and completely horrified.
I'd spent the night with Tom in his bed.

My stomach flipped and my heart pounded. This was just way too much. I gazed at the band posters on his walls and his piles of clean and dirty laundry that were all mixed together in the corner of his room. I could hear footsteps downstairs. Fuck. So much for making a discreet exit. I couldn't be here a second longer. No matter how nice this felt.

I slowly slid out of Tom's embrace and almost soundlessly pulled my jeans back on. I had no idea where my shirt was. Fuck.  I found one of Tom's shirts on the floor, an army green 7 seconds one. I pulled it over my head, awkwardly pulling the sleeve over my cast. It wasn't a clean shirt. It smelled like Tom. His cologne, his sweat...just him. I liked that smell. Which was bad.

I glanced down at the soundly sleeping Tom. His arms were now cuddling the duvet. His lashes were flickering and he was drooling a little. He really was sort of beautiful. Oh God I had to leave.

I tied my shoe laces and slowly crept down the stairs cursing as the step second to the bottom creaked loudly.

"Yeah the second one creaks so no one can sneak out."

I glanced up to see Mark gazing up at me with a raised brow from the bottom of the stairs. I brushed past him hoping I wasn't blushing as hard as I felt I was.

"I wasn't sneaking out." I whispered.

Mark laughed and nodded.

"Right." He teased.

I sighed.

"Look I have to go. Are you coming to Dani's later for rehearsal?"

Mark nodded.

"Sure. She's awake if you want me to-"

I shook my head fiercely.

"You didn't see me. I was never here. Do not under any circumstances tell Dani I stayed the night ok? Promise me. She'll just take it to mean way more than it does ok?"

Mark frowned but nodded slowly.

"Ok. But what do you want me to tell Tom when he wakes up all alone?" He said with a confused smile.

I smiled sadly and shrugged.

"Tell him I got chosen to be a human sacrifice to the alien Gods." I said with a grin.

Mark laughed and gave me a shocked look.

"Please tell me you don't believe that bullshit too?" He said.

I shrugged.

"I don't know... I'll see you tonight then."

Mark nodded.

I walked home with my mind whirring. I'd stayed the night. Butterflies fluttered in my belly. Oh no. This shouldn't be happening.

I opened my door.

"You were out all night."

I gasped as my mom stood in the hallway.

I nodded. No point denying it.

"Where were you?" She whispered softly.

She'd been crying again. I saw her eyes were rimmed with red.

"At Tom's."

She nodded.

"You like that strange boy don't you?"
