"Is this ****?"

It has been about a month since they decided to become partners officially, at Sean's class, and they were pretty fine about it. They had been spending even more time together which no one thought could be possible. They wouldn't go a day without seeing each other in person both because they were always on projects/working together and because they didn't really want to be apart from each other.

It was hot outside and after months of working without a break, either on projects or on her own learning path, she decided that she required a vacation. Some time away from the city, school, and dance classes. But obviously, she didn't want to go on her own so she planned a weekend away with her friends in her family's lake house, after asking for her parent's permission, of course.

She invited Tahani, Bailey, Ken, Josh, and obviously, Sean.

The girls and Sean had already been there so they knew their way around the house pretty well, to the boys she had to give a tour. Boys settled their things in what normally is Kaycee's brother's room and the girls in the room that belongs to her and her sister. The house wasn't very much decorated to look like it belonged to someone, it was everything pretty lowkey despite some family photographs around the house.

The first thing they did was to put away the groceries they had brought with them because the house had nothing and Sean refused to eat take away every day, so he encharged himself to do the cooking — no one even tried to argue with him because he knew his ways in the kitchen and the rest of them were a mess.

When all of the work was done it was time to have fun, they got in the house around 2 pm and after putting their things and the food away they still had a few hours of daylight to enjoy the outside. Since it was way too hot they decided to spend the day in the lake. It was a very chill day with lots of jumping in the water from the pier and chicken fights — in which Sean and Kaycee won from 5 to 1 against Josh and Tahani.

Now it was almost 5 pm, the boys went inside to take their showers, the girls were doing some painting in the backyard, and Sean had already taken his shower and was sitting in the grass observing them from afar while waiting a bit to start doing the dinner.

He didn't notice but even with the other girls there his eyes were always on Kaycee. He started to think of how much his life had changed because of her in less than a year and how many good things this change had brought to him. He has been spending more time with his friends, he made new friends that are everything to him now like Tahani for example, he found a way back into being close to his family and he even started to enjoy cooking again. All because of her and her positive way of seeing things, she was literally a walking rainbow.

It's was a funny thing to think that before that class months ago he couldn't even form a real memory about her but as the time when by he started to remember little pieces in which she was in, like for example seeing her walking around with Bailey on classes, or how Josh would always talk about how good of a dancer she was, he even found photos on Instagram of times he hung out with mutual friends and she was there but by the time he didn't even notice — it was almost like if the longer she was in his life more he could remember that somehow she was always there.

And it was even weirder to think that nowadays she was in every single big or small moment of his life, she was now a permanent part of his favorite memories. In fact, she became so important that for a memory to be truly good she has to be in it.

"Do you want me to pick a bucket so you can collect all that droll?" He was surprised by Josh sitting with him.

"Don't start." He said to his friend, already knowing the things he was going to say.

The thing is, his friends would always joke around saying that he was into Kaycee and he would always say that it wasn't like that but being completely honest with himself, Sean didn't really know how he stood in such a topic.
