As I arrived at the little cafe I took in the wonderful scent of fresh baking bread. I was about a half hour late because I couldn't convince Nick that it was fine and I could go by myself. Plus he needed to watch Danny. After thinking for a while making myself even more late I quickly walked into the building and looked around for Eli. As I was turned the other way I felt someone come up behind me. I turned around and there was Eli. "Aw, you didn't let me scare you!"

"Aw, too bad," I said with sarcasm dripping from each word. Eli lead me to the booth he had been sitting at. "So what's up?"

"Not much lately, with the school holiday and all that."

"Same."

"What did you want to talk about?"

"Us," He said quickly. Us? What did he mean? He knew me and Nick were together. Eli must have known I was over thinking this so he quickly said, "our friendship."

"Oh. Ya what about it?"

"I miss you Em. I miss how we used to be."

I sighed, "I do too. But you know it can't with the things that happened."

"You forgave that stupid boyfriend of yours for punching me in the face!" He was yelling at this point. "Why can't you forgive me for kissing you?"

"Eli, it's not about me forgiving you kissing me. It's about the awkwardness that came after you kissing me."

"I'm sorry Em, I really am. It's just I miss us hanging out all the time. Could we try and put things where they were?"

"Sure Eli, I'd like that very much." And I meant that. I miss how we were too.

For the next hour or so we were laughing and joking around like we used too. It gave me hope that we can go back to being the same.

When I returned home Danny and Nick were on the floor playing with Star Wars Legos. I crept in slowly so they wouldn't here me. "Luke I am your father." Nick does a good Darth Vader impression, it's kind of hot. "You know Vader means father in German," I said from by the door. Nick looked embarrassed and I couldn't help but laugh. I say down on the floor next to Nick and he brought me closer to him. "How was your day with Nick?"

"IT WAS AWESOME!!" Oh Danny. "Nick gave me ice cream and soda then we watched cartoons and played Star Wars!" I looked at Nick.

"You gave him ice cream," I was trying to sound as threatening as possible," and soda?" I started inching towards Nick who had moved away as I was saying this. "Yeah." He started scratching behind his head. "I'm sorry." "You will be sorry!" I launched myself at him and tackled him to the ground. "Emily get off!" He said as I was pinning him to the ground. "Never!" Then he flipped me over and pinned me down. It totally slipped my mind that he is about 2 times stronger than me. "Pinned ya!" I tried getting up and he pushed me back down. "Pinned ya again!" "Was that a Lion King reference?" His face turned red. "Ya."

"Aw that's so cute!"

"You know I really like this view of you Princess."

I motioned towards Danny.

"Oh, right." And Nick finally got off of me. We spent the rest of the day watching The Lion King and Monsters Inc. Nick stayed the night again, which I was happy about. Everything seemed to be perfect.
