Chapter 7

As I got ready I heard the doorbell ring and I knew it had to be Chel. I had called her and told her everything that happened. I was freaking out about me and Nick's get together. I don't know if I can call it a date. I don't think its a date, just him saying sorry. But Chel was totally convinced it was a date. "OMG. We have to make you look gorgeous!" "Thanks for the boost in confidence Chel, I needed that." "That is what I'm here for right?" Then she giggled. I rolled my eyes and giggled along with her.

After half an hour of going through my closet, Chel had finished her masterpiece. I was wearing silver and some sort of animal print flats, a white tank top with the words Paris on it, and a silver sparkley pencil skirt. I looked gorgeous. "Chel, you've done it again!" She beamed with pride. She knows she outdid herself. Thats when her phone buzzed. She smiled and texted back, then she grabbed my hand a squealed. I was being rushed downstairs, when I finnaly realized I hadn't called Molly. 'Chel, I forgot to call Molly. Who is going to watch Daniel?" "Em, I'll watch him, he is practically my little brother too." Daniel was sitting on the steps so he heard this and ran down the stairs to hug Chel. "Ya! We can pway all night!" My brother was just too cute.

After we had Daniels car seat strapped in the back of Chels car, we drove off. "Why are you taking me," I asked Chel who couldn't wipe that goofy grin off her face. "Nick told me too." "Do you know where we are going then?" "Nope, he just told me to take you to the adress on the card he gave you." I knew there was something she wasn't telling me. 15 minutes later we arrived in front of a cute little diner. When I got out of Chel's car and she zoomed off honking twice. Then a waiter came out and handed me a lily and a note. It read:

Hey There Princess, Do you like the diner. Go inside and tell them Nick Malory sent you. More of your surprises will be revealed in there. Hope you like all of them.

More surprises? Now I'm excited. I practically skipped into the diner and told them Nick sent me. They lead me to the back where a booth was set up with another lily. And another note.

Hey Agian,  So I guess they got you to the table alright. Don't order anything though, I already have everything planned. One of my friends is a waiter who is just about to get off his shift and he will drive you the rest of the way. His name is Jeremy and we are really close so I know he will take care of you. Oh and don't forget to put on your blindfold when you get into his car.

Blindfold? He did not just say blindfold. I felt a hnad on my shoulder which woke me from me thoughts. I look up to see a handsome looking guy. He had blond hair and deep green eyes, the looked like emeralds. there was no doubt in my mind it was Jeremy. "Hey, I'm Jeremy." "I'm Emily." "We should get going, Nick doesn't like it when people are late. Which is ironic, because he is always late." He chuckled at himself.

Next thing I knew I was blidfolded in a car heading west, or north, or was it south maybe. It was a direction ok? The air smelt damp and I could hear the steady trickling of water. I had no clue where we were. And finnally we stopped and Jeremy helped me out of the car and stood me there and told me not to take off the blindfold until I was told too. The I heard the roar of an engine, then he was gone. Then I heard footsteps behind me. 'Hey Princess, you can take off the blindfold now." As I removed the blindfold I knew exactly where we were. We were by the river, Nick's special place. I suddenly saw the picnic blanket, the radio, and candles. What the hell was he doing? "Nick?" "I just wanted to say I was really sorry for what happened last night. I don't know what came over me and, I'm really sorry." He was so flustered it was adorable.

We sat and ate dinner which consisted of spagetii, bread with butter, and apple pie for dessert. It was all so beautiful. He must have stalked my Instagram page to find out my favorite flower, food, and dessert. "Why go through all this trouble for me Nick?" "Because when you left with Eli and Chel, thats when I realized I never wanted you to leave me agian." Wait did he just confess that he liked me. Nick stood up, pressed play on the radio, and outstreached his hand to help me up. I stood up just as the song You'll Be In My Heart  By Phil Collins started to play. This was the song I had already choosen to be played as my first dance at my wedding. Nick pulled me close to him and we began to dance, letting the music pulse throughout our bodies. When the song was over I thanked him for the dance and hugged him. Then something magical happened. He pulled me closer, his brown eyes bore into mine. An unknown emotion flashed through his eyes. Then he cupped his hand behind my head, grabbed my waist and kissed me. First it was soft and sweet, then as any girl would do, I kissed him back. Shocks of electricity pulsed through every bone in my body. After we were done he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes. We stayed on the picnic blanket and gazed up at the stars. My head rested on his chest. Everything seemed to be perfect it the world.
