{Alex's POV}
I sat on the old couch in our dorm, that definitely could use an upgrade, while rubbing John's feet. Any time I would be watching TV, John would come out, lay down, and put his feet in my lap. I couldn't complain though. This dork was adorable.
"Aleeeeex!" John whined, putting down the book he was reading.
"Yes my little nerd?" I teased. The "grumpy" face I made when I teased him was just, so cute.
"First, I'm not a nerd. You're the one who writes at three in the morning. Second, Lafayette wants me to go help him pick out a wedding cake but I don't have big enough pants!"
A light chuckle escaped my lips, "Jackie, it will be fine. Besides, you have a cute widdle bewwy!" I jokingly cooed.
"Alex, shut up!" John demanded with a snort. He grabbed a pillow and smacked me in the head.
"Oh, it's that way? You're going down, ya book dweeb!!"
I leaped onto him, yanking up my shirt that John stole from me, and blew a raspberry onto his belly. John squirmed and squealed and laughed, trying to get me to stop. But, it didn't work, because I would do anything, just to hear his beautiful laugh.
"I'll see you both in a bit, me and Herc are just gonna watch some TV," I explained to Lafayette and John, who were just about to leave.
"You mean you and Herc will watch the bachelorette?" Lafayette snickered. I turned to see Hercules's face turn red.
"Lafayette shut up! That's not true!"
John laughed along with Lafayette. "Well, we'll see you guys later. Don't wreck the dorm," he said before closing the door. Hercules and I made our way to the floor and watched TV. Come on, we're gay. You expect us to sit on the couch like normal humans?
Hercules took the remote, turning on the bachelorette. We would never openly admit it, but we would watch it together just to bet on which guy would be the creepy one.
Though, this time, I didn't pay much attention.
Ever since hearing about the engagement, I've been thinking a lot about mine and John's relationship. I mean, we've only been together a few months, but, those months have changed my life!
I grew up with nothing. My father left, my mother died. I moved to America alone. Alone! And that's how I felt for years!
That's why I used to bully John, now that I think about it. I always liked him, I just, didn't know how to express that feeling. But, John...he taught me how to love.
"Dude? You alright?" Hercules asked, a confused look plastered on his face.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm just really stumped on this episode."
Hercules shrugged and went back to watching his show.
God, I can't even think straight! Damn, that engagement! All I can see, is John.
I just want to know that John will be mine forever. With my parents leaving, my brother, my island, I'm just afraid. I'm afraid of losing my one true love, my source of happiness.
Not even half an hour later, John and Laf came bursting through the door. They were absolutely drenched, but laughing their asses off.
"Holy shit what happened?!" I pratically screeched.
"Listen!" John gasped, trying to catch his breath from laughing so hard.
"So we got the cake, and Laf was-" John broke into another fit of laughing and snorting.
God, that laugh. Just, seeing him happy, it made me feel so lucky to be alive! His smile automatically made the worst days the best.
It was that moment I knew. I needed to marry John.
{Hey, should I make a few other books? I have three ideas in mind. Anyways, thanks for reading! Make sure to follow and vote! :3}
