That night I couldn't really sleep much. I tried working out, doing homework, just laying in bed, but it was no use.Lilah was in my mind, dead or alive, she always managed to keep me restless and worried.
I tried messaging her little sister but I never got a reply.
It was so weird to think that she was dead. I could still remember the times we spent together. I already said she was an amazing girlfriend, and being with her was the best decision I ever made. She made me feel better, mostly because she brought out the best in me.
I might come off as an asshole right now, and it's who I've always been, since before I met her, but deep down I think I'm a pretty decent guy. Lilah was the only one who was willing to stick around long enough to find out.
I remember how mean I was to her sometimes. I probably scared her too, but that wasn't enough to push her away. Either she was insane, or just really committed.
When we started dating, it came as a shock to a lot of people. Nobody expected for us to end up together, and if I'm being completely honest, neither did I.
I was always so scared to lose her. I thought she would have enough of me being a careless asshole, but she didn't. We committed to each other, through thick and thin. It was pure bliss. I was happiest when I was around her, it was no secrete.
She was my everything.

"Oh come on! I promise it'll be fun! It's just one night!" Lilah exclaims.
She was currently tugging at my arm even though we were both walking in the same direction.
I rolled my eyes, pretending to be annoyed with her. I obviously already agreed to go with her, before she even asked me to accompany her, but I liked having my own little fun with her.
"Lilah as much as I agree that your parents are cool and all that, it doesn't mean that I agree with their choice of music," I complain.
Lilah's parents were groupies when they were younger, that's how they met. Eventually, they had their kids and decided to settle down. They were pretty interesting, to say the least. Every day at the Braithwaite household was interesting.
They were invited by a friend to a concert nearly the Bay Area. The whole family was going so naturally I was invited as well.
"Please for me. I want you to experience something I like," She pouts.
"You are so adorable when you do that," I pinch her cheek.
She slaps my hands away and glares.
"That's not fair, I sat through that awful old anime movie for you. I'm cashing in, you're coming," She crosses her arms.
"You know I'm joking. Of course I'll come," I tug her towards me.
I looked her up and down before kissing her in the lips.
"Although I wasn't lying about the music you guys like. I don't get why you're into that stuff," I huff.
"Don't! I'm already in a good mood, don't get me all fired up," she warns me.
"I don't know, I kinda like it when you get like that," I chuckle.
She rolls her eyes while still smiling.

"Tyler wake up!"
I feel something land on me. I slowly open my eyes and see another pillow. The lights flash on and I wince.
