When the Clock Strikes

Blake was carrying Gure's injured body on her back while Yang was carrying Ruby bridal style away from the crash site and mountain. Gun shots were heard all around them along with a few explosions. The two girls jumped over downed trees, over rocks and even used a few limbs of dead trees to move over a small stream that cut off the mountain from the rest of Vale.

Yang: So, based upon all the booms and the pows, I take it our call was more than successful.

Blake and Yang looked up to see various fighters flying over head, some shooting at others while even more are shot down and destroyed. Regardless, the two keep running through the woods trying to avoid the over head battle. After running around for a couple more minutes, a single bullheaded landed in front of them and opened the bay doors. Two smiles appeared on Yang and Blake's faces as inside was both Winter Schnee and General Ironwood themselves.

Without even hesitating, the two of them ran over and onto the ship. Two Atlesian soldiers grabbed both Gure and Ruby and placed them on medical beds within the ship.

Yang: Top of the mountain. That's where they are! You can see the hanger!

Ironwood nodded.

Ironwood: Take us there!

The ship closed its doors and took off. In the skies over the woods were several Atlesian fighters, drop ships and even a few jetpack soldiers. Also attacking were three Atlesian cruisers, firing at the defense platform turrets while the fighters wiped clean Silver's air force. A few rogue huntsmen and huntresses aligned with Silver got onto the landing platform and joined in the outside defense. Several Atlas fighters were brought down and the cruisers were greatly damaged.

Ironwood and his bullhead kept a constant pace directed towards Silver's main hanger. As they were flying in, Ironwood saw the few rogue huntsmen on the landing platform.

Ironwood: Schnee!

Winter: Understood.

The bay doors opened once again and Winter leapt out and landed on another bullhead for Atlas. She summoned a few lancers and attacked one of the turrets, brining it to the ground and knocking away some of Silver's troops. Winter then leapt from the bullhead to the main platform. Three of the rogue huntsmen and huntresses charged directly towards her.

Winter lunged forward, her sword drawn and a glyph in her opposite hand. After her and the first huntsman clashed, she quickly evaded another strike from the man and ran past him, using her glyph to freeze him in place. Winter roadhouse kicks the man, breaking the ice and launching him far off.

As the other three run towards her, she evades one strike and blocks another. As the second comes back into a strike, she uses her glyph as a shield and blocks the attack. Winter gains enough strength and pushes both the rogue huntsman and huntress off of her and throws her glyph onto the ground. She activates her time dilation and begins to move with tremendous speed and take out the rogue huntsmen and huntress.

The Atlas cruisers take aim at the remaining turrets and open fire. With all the turrets down, Atlas drops ships arrive at the platform, one which has Ironwood, Yang and Blake. Ironwood opens fire against a few more troops before everyone exits the bullheads and charges in.

Inside the command center, Silver is growing more and more frustrated.

Silver: Damn it! Damn it! DAMN IT! We have four targets in this DAMN MOUNTAIN! Ironwood, the Schnees and that little shit stain I called a teammate! SOMEONE BRING ME THEIR HEADS! (He turns around and walks away before grabbing his sister) I want you to kill Winter.

Sunny: She's way out of my league.

Silver: No she's not. You just think that.

Sunny: Silver. We're not going to make it.

Silver: Yes we will! We have before and we'll do it again!

Sunny: We don't have the financial aid that mother and father left us! Silver...it's over.

Silver: We're still alive and we still have our men, training and weapons! We fight to the last man.

Sunny: Silver. You're scaring me.

Silver glares back at his sister. However, he quickly gains a sympathetic look. He walks back and places his hands on Sunny's shoulders.

Silver: Then go. Save yourself. Don't look back, don't even remember me.

Sunny: But-

Silver: There' no time to argue. It's either I die or we both do. (He hands her a couple of Lien cards and a note pad from his pocket.) All of mother's remaining financials are inside. Start over!

Sunny: But I-

Silver: Sunny. There's no hope for us. But there is for you. Go.

Sunny nods and runs off towards the rear of the mountain. Silver takes a deep breath before resuming command.

Silver: Get all remaining troops out front. I want Ironwood dead!

Silver grabs his axe and walks towards the exit.

Trooper: Sir, what about you?

Silver: I'm killing the little Schnee.

You, Weiss and her summon continued to charge through Silver's fortress. The knight back hands three troopers before raising its arms to defend itself and you and Weiss from gun fire. You and Weiss flip off of the knight's shoulder and kick the troops down before you push on in the face and the knight stomps on the other.

Weiss: Security is a lot smaller than when they pulled me through here.

(Y/N): Well, it's like you said. Plan B.

The ground shakes a bit and you and Weiss fall over towards the walls. The knight grabs Weiss and holds onto her while the ground shakes.

(Y/N): Hope you like surprises. Because we got some big ones just outside.

Weiss: You are seriously getting weirder and weirder everyday.

(Y/N): Weiss, we in a world where crystal generate power for super weapons, everyone basically has a super power, we fight demon animals and terrorist. But no, me being secretive, that, that is what makes you confused.

You turn around and face Weiss who has an unamused look to her face.

Weiss: Whatever. Let's just go already.

You smirk and follow Weiss. The more you go through the base, the less and less guards arrive to stop you all. Finally, you all come across a small catwalk, branching one small section of the mountain to the main section. Weiss stopped and looked out. Across the grounds before the mountain were several Atlas cruisers, all firing at the base. You walked up next to her and wrapped an arm around her.

(Y/N): See? Told you I had a Plan B.

Weiss laughs and pecks your cheek.

Weiss: Yes. Yes, you did.

The two of you looked out across the scene of victory and smiled. However, your little team is stopped once you hear foot steps and turned to the exit. Before you was Sunny and Silver. Sunny has a scared look to her until Silver pushes her away.

Silver: Go.

Sunny nods and runs off.

(Y/N): Go after her. He's mine.

Weiss nods and runs forward a bit. However, a rocket stops her.

Silver: You. Aren't going near her. At all.

You and Weiss looked to one another and then nodded before raising your hands to combat him.

(Y/N): Then so be it.

Silver drew his axe and looked directly at you and too, entered a combat stance.
