She turns around to see a look of pure terror on his face

"where are you headed" she asked the man

"t-the L-local h-h-high s-school"

"great we are going to the same place come on" she says to the old man as they start to move out of the ally

"w-why are you helping me"

"I have to make sure that" she says to the almost lifeless body in the ally

"does not happen again"

"h-how are we e-eve going to make it t-there?" the old man asked

"that" she says pointing at her bike

"nope nope nope I made it to 52 I am not dyeing on that...that thing I am taking the bus"

"fine bye"

"you not going to walk me to the bus stop I could get robbed again"

"oh my god fineee"

She dropped the old man at the bus stop and was on her way to school

She got to school very late like five minutes till 3rd late she walked to the front door having to push the doors open her self

As soon as she did the whole hallway froze people immediately started to whisper and stare at her as she made her way to her locker to get her bag and go to her 3rd period class

Study hall yay not

She hates I mean hated study hall especially since she never no one ever studied during it you either talk to your friends, eat, sleep, eat someone's face, or in Athena's case look out the window at the forest

Half way through class Athena got a call from Sam (her gf for those who forgot)

She had not spoken to Sam in quite some time and she missed her so much it hurt

"Athena either you go outside to pick the call you or you put your phone on silent" the teacher watching us said

"fine fine" Athena got up from her seat and went outside to pick the call

"hello" Sam adorable voice said

"hey babe"

"I have something I need to tell you"

"are you hurt, in trouble, dead, pregnant" she asked panicked

"no, no, how would I be talking to you if I was and god no"

"then what is it babe"

"Athena I am sorry I have to break you with you"

"both I found my mate"

"w-what n-no no no no w-hy y-you c-can't..." Athena tried to say but ended up a stuttering mess

"I can't what Athena we both knew that this would happen" sam said

"I-I mean yeah we knew this would happen sooner or later..."

"thought what Athena that if I found my mate I would leave them for you"
