Saving Clary (A Mortal Instruments and Clace Fanfic)

Chapter 8

Jace's POV

Izzy, Alec and I were the last to join the rest of the group back outside the building. Everyone was gathered, feeling triumphant for killing all of the demons, talking amongst each other, showing the techniques they used.

"What took you guys so long in there, we were beginning to get worried." Maryse said as her and Robert walked up to them.

"This whole 'mission' was a setup" I spit at her, "It was just to delay us from going after Clary so that whoever took her had more time to do whatever it is they're doing!"

Maryse didn't know how to respond to that so all she said was "Who told you this...how do you know!?"

"I was about to kill my last demon when he told it all to me, I guess he wanted to see the fury in my face because that's what he got, sadly for him he also got the wrath of it too."

"And you just trust the de..."

"By the Angel" Isabelle cut in "it doesn't matter if we trust him because wether it was true or not, we already came here and wasted precious time that could have been used to find Clary, even if it wasn't planned. But now both of you are wasting more time bickering about this when what we should be doing is taking this as a lesson, and start looking for our lost friend immediately. Alec call Magnus tell him to set up the portal again."

"Isabelle's right" Maryse said, "I'm sorry Jace, we'll find her, and we won't do anything else until we do."

"Until we do what?" Jocelyn said as she came over, and everyone in the conversation froze. Shit how do we tell her that her daughter was stabbed in the torso and taken by the Circles former assassin, and we just wasted half a day going on this 'mission' that was a setup rather then going to look for her. How exactly do we sugar coat that.

"Clary was kidnapped last night Jocelyn, that's why she wasn't there to draw the portal this morning." I tried to put that as lightly as I could.

"Cl...Clary was kid..kidnapped!?" She exclaimed, "What, h..how, by who?"

"Castor was then one who took her Joce, he got into her room and when she called out Jace and Isabelle went to help but he was already leaving." Maryse explained

Not exactly what happened I thought to myself, and Maryse knew that but I agreed with her in this, that all the details of last night wouldn't be the best thing for Jocelyn right now. I looked over at Isabelle, and saw that she was looking back at me with sad eyes.

"No...no that's impossible, Castors dead he died in the revolution I saw it..."

"I'm sorry to say he's not dead and I think he's working for Sebastian." I said sadly

Clary's POV

Tyron opened my cell door and told me to get up, I did as I was told, knowing struggling would only make it worse. He drew the handcuff rune on me and led me down a series of hallways into a large circular room where Castor and someone else was waiting the. Other man told something to Castor and walked out of the room. Tyron led me towards Castor, and strapped me into a chair by my hands, feet and stomach.

The pain in my torso was agonizing, I grit my teeth with every step I took and fast movement, luckily the strap was above my wound, but it still hurt when it pressed against my stomach.

"Leave us Tyron" Castor said still facing the computer by my chair. Without argument Tyron smirked at me and

left.

Castor wouldn't look at me so I figured I'd be the one to say something first.

"So master Castor what fun filled activities do you have in store for me today?" I said sarcastically

Castor looked up with an evil grin, walked in front of my chair and squatted down so we were eye to eye.

"Well" he said still grinning, "it falls under the same category as this."

After saying that, he brings his fist back and hook punches me in the side of the nose. I could immediately tell it was broken from the loud crack and the eruption of blood that poured out.

"Now now Castor, I don't want our guest beaten up before her real trial." An evil familiar voice said. I looked past Castor at the door, the other man had walked out earlier, and I couldn't believe my eyes, because walking towards me was a man I never thought I'd see again.

"Valentine" I exclaimed shocked

"Hello daughter, miss me?"

Uh oh there's a big conflict... Jace is going after Sebastian when it's actually Valentine!! Well I'm really excited to write this part :)

Also, sorry for all the cliff hangers, I found out I hate them when I'm reading a story but LOVE to put them in writing.
