Chapter 2

**the next morning**

Austin's P.O.V.

The next morning I woke up and noticed I was the only one in the room. Weird, where did Chase and Ryan go? I yawned and sat up. Just as I did I saw Ryan walk in with just a pair of boxers, his hair dripping wet and a towel around his neck. "Morning Austin." He said. I smiled and nodded at him. "Where's our race winner?" I asked as I continued to smile. "I'm right here." I heard Chase say.

   I looked over to see him walk in the door, wearing a blue t-shirt that had NAPA in the right corner and a pair of jeans. His hair was also wet. Shit, did they shower together? I shook the thought of my head and stood up. "How you feeling today buddy?" I asked. He smiled as he handed Ryan clothes, leaning agaisnt his dresser. "I feel amazing. Last night was just unbeliveable. I can't believe after all of the second place finishes, I finally won. It's an amazing feeling to have." He said.

   I saw Ryan smirk out of the corner of my eye but I just kept it to myself and responded back to Chase. "I know how you feel man. It's tough racing good and not winning. I was working on four years before I got my first win.. But hey, now that you got it the rest will come a lot eaiser." I said to him.

   He nodded and grabbed his phone. He's acting like he doesn't believe what I just said but I know it's the truth. He's proved so much that he is an incredible driver. He may not see it all the time but I do, the fans do, and I know Ryan does. I'm also pretty sure all the other drivers can see it to. It's just Chase not believing in himself. Maybe if he keeps it up he will be more confident.

  I looked over at Ryan walked back in now fully dressed. "Alright, let's go and celebrate some more." Ryan said. Chase smiled and put his pocket, walking out of the room. Ryan followed and slapped his ass. What the fuck is going on between those two? I sighed and followed them. We walked downstairs and I saw Chase's parents. "Hey mom, hey dad." Chase said as he smiled. "Hey honey, where are you boys off to?" Cindy asked.

  Ryan and I looked at each other and smiled, looking back. "We can't say because it's a surprise for Chase, but we will be back later." I said as I smirked a little. They both smiled and nodded, telling us to have fun. We nodded and walked out as we said our goodbyes. "Are you guys really planning something and not saying anything?" Chase asked. Ryan and I laughed and nodded. "Yes we are, now shut up and get in the car." Ryan said. Chase laughed and got in the back. I got in and started the car as Ryan got in the front.

    I started to drive to a local restaurant that was just down the street. As I puled up I shut the car off and got out. Chase and Ryan followed. "Really this is my surprise?" Chase asked. Ryan laughed, shaking his head. "No silly, this is just lunch. This isn't your surprise." He said as he came up behind him and touched his back. They smiled at each other and started to make their way into the restaurant.

I followed and told the waitress there was three of us. She nodded and lead us to a table. We took a seat and looked over the menu after telling her what we want to drink. "So do I not get to know anything until we get there?" Chase asked. Ryan looked up at him and give him a look. "Stop asking questions babe, we aren't saying anything." He said.

  I looked at him a little shocked but tried not to show it. Did he just call Chase babe? Oh damn okay... something is going on between them. "O-Okay I'll uh.. s-stop asking." Chase said, blushing lightly and started to looking at his menu again. Once the waitress came back with out drinks, we ordered and talked while we waited.

  When our food came we ate and made small talk. As we finished we left money on the table for our meals and went back out to the car. We got in and I started to make way to the go-kart track in Atlanta. It may be a little bit far but we wanted to do a little bit of racing.
