Me : Did you really think that being a warlock only has its ups ?
Alec : I didn't say-
Me : This is why I don't feel , Alec . I've been trying so hard not to feel . Constantly in relationships only to fill my desires because falling for my one true love will come and bite me in the future .
Alec : Are you saying we were a mistake ? Falling in love was a mistake ?
Me : You know that's not what i meant .
Alec : Then what did you mean ?! Look me in the eye and tell me we were a mistake and i'll leave you . You'll never hear from me again .
I stuttered but managed to say it . It was the only way to protect him and myself from being hurt .
Me : You're right Alexander . We were a mistake .
Tears threatened to fall yet i forced myself to keep a calm facade , speaking like a robot .
Alec : That's what i thought .
I looked at him , confused as he handed me something . The person in it gazed back with such sadness and heartbreak that spoke with only his eyes . His lips quivering and his eyes were bloodshot but the thing that stood out the most were his warlock marks . Once again , his eyes turned purple instead of yellow . I tilted my head as the reflection mirrored me exactly , realising that the person was actually me .
Alec : When you're done acting like this , call me .
I called out to him again and again as he left . What have i done ?

I heaved as i fell to the floor and stared at the reflection once again and hid my face in between my hands . I needed a distraction . And quick . My thoughts averted to Simon and quickly went to Camille . I never did know what happened anyways so i portaled myself to Simon's room , startling him in the process .
Simon : Geez Magnus you scared me .
Me : Yeah yeah Simon what did Camille come for yesterday ?
Besides tearing me and alec apart , my heart spoke .
Simon : Since when does The Oh Great Magnus Bane change his mind ?
I glared at the daylighter that was speaking sarcastically as i continued speaking without skipping a beat and forcing a smile .
Me : Oh you know me . Full of surprises .
I rolled my eyes at my lame excuses as Simon happily explained the situation . Turns out she knew a way to get him to Edom without my acknowledgment . She also wanted to come as payment to convince my father to let her rule alongside him . So much for true love 🙄 .
