{Having a bad day? Here, have a Percabeth.}

Chapter XIV - Percy

I AWOKE TO THE SOUND OF CRYING. MY HEAD FELT LIKE TYSON had stepped on it and I couldn't feel my leg, let alone move it. Annabeth was leaning over me.

"Percy! You're awake!" she gasped and I smiled weakly.

"Astute of you, Wise Girl." I grinned, sitting up.

"Seaweed Brain!" she shouted. "You could have got yourself killed!"

I looked into her eyes. If it was possible, she was even more cute when she was worried.

"You know me, always getting hurt. It must be such an inconvenience to you." I smirked.

"Oh shut up." she said and kissed me.

It was a feeling that never got old. I felt butterflies in my stomach as I held her closer. She wrapped her hands around my neck. I heard a snicker from the door and we broke apart, seeing Leo standing there.

"Well someone's awake." he said cheekily and I could have sworn that Annabeth wanted to kill him.

I tried to get out of bed to attack him, but my leg buckled and I collapsed on the floor. Annabeth gasped.

"Percy!" she cried, hoisting me up over her shoulder. She half carried, half dragged me over to a wheelchair in the corner. I looked at it in disgust.

"I can walk, I'm fine." I said, but proved myself wrong as I nearly collapsed. Annabeth pushed me into the chair and was about to push me but I brushed her away.

"My arms are okay." I smiled at her. I could tell she was upset.

Annabeth walked ahead of me with Leo, but she kept looking back. "Are you sure?" she said, her grey eyes cloudy. I nodded and watched as she walked into the main common room with the others.

I took a while to get there, my wheelchair didn't take corners very well and I felt useless as I slowly made wy way across the ship. When I arrived, the other demigods were sitting round a coffee table, playing monopoly. They looked up as I rolled in.

"Percy!" cried Hazel, hugging me and so did Frank.

"Sorry bro..." muttered Jason.

Leo and Piper looked sympathetic and Annabeth just looked sad. I felt likeI had let them down somehow.

I sighed and joined them, looking around at their faces. We were all a bit bruised but I was the only one with a serious injury and I felt like an idiot.

Jason looked at me. "Percy, that's not going to heal anytime soon, ambrosia isn't really going to work, we may have to send you back to camp."

I was pretty outraged that he was suggesting that and I shook my head vigorously. "I...-" I started talking but was cut off by a huge roar coming from down the corridor. The floors shook.

"Percy Jachson?" hissed a voice from the door. The voice mangled the 'J' so it sounded like 'J' as in 'Jaques'

"Thorn." I spat, drawing riptide. Piper ran at him but he grabbed her and held her up.

"The daughter of Aphrodite dies if you don't co-operate. My mistress wants Jackson."

Annabeth looked horrified as I stood up, shakily, using Riptide like a crutch. "Fine, take me." I said and Piper shook her head vigour lushly, tears streaming down her face. "I'm going to die anyway and it might as well be saving Piper." I stepped forward and Thorn grabbed me by the collar, tossing Piper aside like a rag doll.

"NO!" cried Annabeth and I gave her a brave smile as he carried me out. He led me to the deck of the ship and tossed me into a chariot, but I reached out to Annabeth.

"Goodbye wise girl." I said, supporting myself on the side of the chariot. My leg was agony. I took a shaky breath and Passed her Riptide in sword form. "Remember, it will always return to me." I whispered to her, and kissed her one last time.

The last thing I saw before Thorn stabbed me in the back, was the distraught faces of my friends as the chariot flew away.

{Nooo Percy! He should take Jason! *shoves Jason forward*. But Percy is the most awesome..}
