Chapter... I lost count: Jason
ANNABETH LET OUT A CRY LIKE A WOUNDED ANIMAL AS PERCY WAS BLOWN OFF THE SHIP.The wind was roaring and the rain pounded down. I stood in shock for a moment. From where I stood it had looked almost like Percy had... Jumped.
I was snapped out of my daydream when Hazel shouted at me to save him and I dived off of the side of the ship.
I knew it was too late almost immediately.
He was falling faster than me, the air currents crackling around him. I poured on the speed, and I came close, but there was something wrong. Percy had riptide drawn, and there was a barrier keeping me away from him as the dark storm clouds solidified.
Venti.
I pounded on the barrier, but Percy was doing just fine. That wad the problem, this was only a distraction.
In less than a minute, the son of Poseidon would go splat.
The wind roared as he fought the storm monsters, not caring when they cut him or pushed him. He kept them back, riptide a glowing arc of power. It smashed through the essense of the monsters, sending them back to Tartrus, but there were just so many and their numbers grew as we plummeted to the face of the mountain below us. We were over tge Alpes.
I hacked through rows of them, trying to mimic the effective Greek style. I couldt get any closer.
Percy was muttering something like "If this goes wrong Dad, I blame you." and I was confused. I pulled up as he noticed me and gestured for me to get out of the way.
He capped his pen and I gasped.
Vent swarmed him from all directions, and he smirked. My jaw was hanging on the floor as he slammed his hands outward and a wave of water came out of thin air and blew them back. Literally out of thin air.
I flew towards him, trying to stop his fall, but he bent his knees and the water molecules swarmed around his feet, solidifying into a board made of ice. I realised what ge was going to do when he smiled evilly.
Hazel:
I stood next to Leo and Annabeth as we watched the fight. Leo was incredulous ad he watched the board form.
"He can't be that crazy.."
Annabeth gave a grin. "He is."
"He's not going to... That's madness!"
"I will concede that it's a new level, even for him"
They were cut off as Percy hit the mountain.
He bent his knees and twisted, sending the board rocketing down the slope like a surfboard on a wave. He backflipped, skidding to a halt. He noticed us watching and gave a wave and a bow.
He looked fine, but I knew it would be he'll when Jason reached him.
