The Darkness Tainting My Mind (UNDER HEAVY EDITING)

Shadow Temple

I felt my feet touch down on the pad and the magic left my form. I shivered as the feeling of insects crawling all over me did not leave. It didn't do this when I was a kid. Maybe it was because Gannon had taken over Hyrule which made the feeling grow more.

"Link, are you okay?" Dark asked as he stood at the entrance to the Temple.

"I feel weird, and not in a good way."

"Weird, how?"

"Have you ever had insects crawl across your body?"

"No."

"Then I have no clue how to describe it."

"Alright then, let's get going."

"Okay..." I followed after him as he plunged deeper into the darkness. The feeling worsened.

"What the hell are we supposed to do here?" He pointed at a large amount of torches in front of us.

"I think that I have to use Din's Fire to light all of them."

"What the hell is that?"

"A magic spell that I got from a Great Fairy back when I was a kid, before I even went to the Temple of Time and pulled out the Master Sword."

"And what the hell does it do?"

"It allows me to have a semi-sphere of fire shoot out, starting with myself."

"That's... actually really cool... I thought that you were a completely tiny, adorable, and semi-helpless guy that could turn any straight man hella gay."

"Dark..." I gave up and let out a sigh. I stood on the platform that was at the center. "You're going to want to be in my shadow for this."

"Why?"

"If you're anywhere near the fire, I could hurt you."

"How fucking far does this damn spell go?"

I looked around the room and then said, "It'll probably span across the entire room."

"You have got to be shitting me."

"Nope, I'm not joking."

"Ugh..."

"Just get in the shadow."

"But I don't want toooooooo!"

"Just do it! Make my dreams come true! So just do it!"

"No!"

"Do you want to get hurt?"

"No..."

"Then get in my damn shadow!"

"Fine!" He let out an angry puff of air and slurped into my shadow. I centered a ball of red hot magic and slammed my hand onto the ground. The fire erupted from my position and lit all of the torches, causing the door to the Shadow Temple to open.

"Well fuck me silly, you did it," Dark said as he, somehow having gotten there super quickly, stood next to me.

"Oh? Are you inviting me to top you?"

"No." He gave me a blank stare.

"Ok, but how did you get out of my shadow so quickly?"

"I don't know...."

"Nevermind, let's just go in," I said as I shook my head and headed inside. I turned left and then right. I pulled out my longshot and aimed it at the target across the chasm. Once I landed, we made our way to another area and Dark decided to lead the way through a fake wall. After bombing the Beamos, I bombed the two fake rock walls to collect anything inside the rooms.
