["And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." - Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist]
Leviathan, Marks and I had opened the portal network after yesterday, I could not bear the vigor between the prince and me when we had our little "run-in" with each other. Marks and Leviathan's relationship grew close, pushing aside their differences. Anger and sadness bubbled inside my stomach, urging me to throw a paroxysm. The temperature changes from glacial to toasty...Leviathan. Concerned, he sat next to me, ushering my body closer to his. I breathed, shaking, seeing my breath in a cloud of sheer smoke. "Everything will be okay." His low, raspy whisper sends shivers up my spine, despite having to deal with the network's frigid transition and his warmth curled my body in a soft embrace.
45 minutes later, we have entered Dimir. The vibrant green of the leaves shone through the sheer tarp of the wagon. The light of the sun trickled through the little holes in the tarp and windows, glazing our skin softly as we trot to the tribal lands. Various colored birds sang through the grove of trees, wild animals roamed on the freest pasture of land. It was nothing I have seen before, it was beautiful.
"We're here, little lady." Marks tapped my shoulder, causing Leviathan to growl lowly at his hand, as he lightly touched me. I stepped down to greet the natives, presenting myself for who I am, "Greetings, my friends. I am Princess Honaleih Jae of the Iron Mountain. Daughter of the cruel leader you once worshipped for, before the incident, King Pama. I am here to speak your superior mind, to join our alliance to defeat my father in battle. I want to bring peace to you all, all realms will not suffer under his command, all will live in harmony. I promise you that."
All was silent until I hear claps from beyond. "Spoke like a true leader, Jae. Welcome." In the back, Leviathan and Marks unpacked the wagon, but the speech had caused Leviathan to get flustered and blush, mumbling, "Damn, I love this girl..." Meanwhile, the chief and I greeted our plan over the annual tea ceremony amongst his brothers. "Jae, what is your plan? Your father greatly powerful, one false move and we die. All of us." I thought to myself for a while. I don't know what the future holds if I am the one who joined this alliance together, battling my father to rectify the kingdom and its community. "We need 6 allies from each realm to join me. Combine your strengths alongside me and do not doubt anything. This strength will spread peace, love, and righteousness throughout the world." He nods, agreeing with my strong demeanor. "You are my friend. No matter the situation you face, we all will stand together with you. Guiding, protecting, fighting, and caring. Always. I will join you."
The alliance is a slow work in progress. But, as I walked back to the wagon, Marks had tapped my shoulder, "We should hit the hay and get some shut-eye. The night is gon' fall, I ain't gon' let you and that heckin' blood moon battle again." I nod. Chief Henshaw nodded as well, gesturing to the time of the sky. "Nightfall will be upon us soon, we leave in the morning."
As I lay on my side, Leviathan rolled over to face me. "I noticed you can't sleep. Come closer to me, it'll be much warmer over here." And I did.
[This chapter was long, and I managed to finish it and start working on Chapter 8. It is 1:23 am right now. I need to sleep or something...]
