*Note: This chapter took way too flipping long to produce. Okay listen, my schedule for sleeping kicked my ass this past couple of days and mainly it's just me, procrastinating about writing the next chapter. So, this chapter will be a little shorter than the rest. I don't know, we will see how it goes.

["In a dark time, the eye begins to see." - Theodore Roethke]

The Condesce stares back at me with kind eyes and a hopeful smile, "Well, considering I did not receive an invitation for the expedition, I will gladly give my son an opportunity to join your alliance, as part of his independence." Reinds rolled his eyes towards the idea, "Declined." His mother glared with mighty rage, "Are you being serious, Rei? WHEN I TELL YOU TO GO, YOU WILL OBEY MY COMMAND!" Her voice rose as the souls flared upwards, howling in anger. His arms cringed upwards and his eyes widened in fear of what his mother might do to him. Already, you can tell that Leviathan and Marks didn't like him at all, Chief Henshaw looked skeptical about him but, was not sure whether to like him or not.

"Rei, Hona has offered you to join her to take down her disgusting father and his reign of tyranny JOIN HER, DAMN IT, YOU SPOILED INFANT." She heaved a great sigh, walking down the spiral staircase. He groaned like an angsty merchant and he seemed bothered with the unknown people around him. "End my suffering, my mother has surrounded me with a bunch of imbeciles and a woman who claims to be the leader of this contraption." Leviathan's demon blood boils within him as he reads his lips, a fiery aura surrounds his figure. I take notice and attempts to calm him down, the shock of heat startles her, sending nerves of pain to the side of my hand.

Leviathan panics, "No...I hurt you with my anger. I'm sorry." The temperature in his hands dropped to a much cooler stance, icing my injured as his way of saying sorry. I look at his apologetic expression upon his face and cupped it in the palms of my hands. "It is okay, I forgave you for my injury. No need to feel sorry, it is not your fault." The temperature changes constantly as he is near me, ranges between hot and cool. Leviathan lets out his wings, letting them breathe out. He brings me closer to his body, cupping my face in his clawed palms and kisses mine with a burning passion. It took me a second to adjust, but soon enough, my lips were now in sync with his. A streak of pink tinted the tops of my cheeks as he tangled his long fingers in my mahogany locks. He shields us from the others, making Marks rage inside of his head and Henshaw a proud friend for them both. Reinds, on the other hand, did not like me or Leviathan for any type of reason. We don't know why or what was the motive of not liking us, but I will respect his space.

After what happened, we discussed where we should we stop at next. "Who's next in the alliance?" Marks exchanged looks with everyone, then at me. "Sir Whitewood, Duke of Continental Europe 1842," I said, as I steered the wagon in the next direction. "Continental Europe? 1842? Who are we taking next? We are basically kidnapping the man or woman. Maybe this person is non-binary? I don't even know him. Hell, I don't even know half the people here!" Everyone, including me, rolled our eyes at his nonsense. "How about keeping your mouth shut for the rest of the ride? We don't need some rodent like you making the trip more difficult." Marks became snarky at Reinds, making their relationship deep red, with anger.
We turn the corner into the portal, "Here we are. The Victorian Era, The United Kingdom 1842. Have you notice our changes of clothing?" I turned to look at Leviathan, disguised in his human form. Pale skin like the snow in the Northern Mountains, and piercing blue eyes. "Black suit and top hat, classy." He bit his lip and chuckled deeply. Chief Henshaw pointed with his staff at the Manor de Franzia, where the Duke resides to study his research. "This is where we are headed. Whitewood and I haven't seen each other since the border was initiated in 1996. Let's go." The wagon was now a jeep, the men allow me to be the leader at this point. Time to move.
