"I've been looking for you," I almost shouted, dragging Joshua's shirt.

He smirked. "Missing me already?"

I pursed my lips. "Can't you tell I'm serious? There's this place I nee--"

"Where ehn? Where?"

We turned back to see Mom. I looked up at Josh who suddenly became serious.

"Riri called and asked them to see," he broke the silence.

Mom looked at me. "And why didn't she call me first?"

Joshua let go of my hand. I was grateful Mom didn't notice we were holding hands. "I can call her to ask why, Ma."

Mom waved a hand. "Don't bother. Just make sure my daughter doesn't go through any stressful play. Okay?"

Josh was busy smiling at me.

"Okay?!"

I jerked him. He recovered. "Okay, Ma."

"One more thing. When you guys get back, I don't want to see you in my house."

My jaw dropped. "Who?"

She pointed at Josh. "He. So, pack all your things as you're going."

I looked from her to Josh. "Where do you want him to go? Who'll drive me around?"

"I'll get you another driver."

Josh's face was wrinkled in confusion. "Is something wrong, Ma?" He asked.

Mom scoffed. "You heard me. I'm not repeating myself."

Mom walked to the sitting room, leaving us confused. Josh started to walk away too and I followed him, to his room.

"Won't you beg her? How'll you live? Josh say something..."

Josh leaned on the nearest wall to him. He looked so disturbed and confused. "I don't know what to say," he closed his eyes, "Jenna... Damn. I need to stay here."

I took few steps to meet him and feigned confusion. "Who's Jenna?"

He shook his head. "Karleen please talk to your Mom. I'll do anything, I just can't leave. Please?"

I scratched my head. "Only if you tell me who Jenna is and why it's so important to stay here."

He opened his eyes quickly. "Yea, I'll tell you. Jenna is my sister. My only sister!"

"But you said your Siamese twin was a girl and she died... Now, she's alive? Josh?"

He rubbed his face with his palm, he was sweating. "I lied. I don't have a twin sister. Jenna has... She wasn't Siamese. Dad killed the other. Mom ran away."

It was obvious he was in a mental battle with his past. "Karleen, please?"

I sighed. "Can I uhm trust you? You're not into anything dangerous, right?"

He moved closer to me and looked deep into her eyes. I allowed his eyes to mesmerize me. "I love you, Karleen. I'll do everything possible to keep you alive. You can trust me, right?"

I opened my mouth to talk but he placed a finger on my lips and caressed them. "That kiss wasn't because you're claustrophobic. Then, I needed to kiss you badly. Just like I want to now..."

I held my breath and kept my eyes glued to his. My heart did a happy stunt knowing the kiss inside the black box wasn't fake. Before I could think more, his lips crushed mine roughly. It took me seconds to return the kiss. His lips sought mine passionately though it was rough because he unleashed all the anger and pain.
