~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I laid in bed listening to the quiet music I put on. To be completely honest I was beyond amazed that her savvy hadn't acted up at all really. So far she had a good control over it.
She appeared to be asleep, but I wasn't. I don't know why I couldn't sleep. Everything was normal (to some extent). But there was this weird tightness in her chest. Fluttering in her stomach, and she was just wanting Mavis to hold her like she was earlier. What was wrong with her that wasn't exactly normal, was it?
I flipped over on my side, back facing Mavis's bed. You're just being protective. If she messes up when training she'll never forgive herself, you don't want that. You want to comfort her. She told herself. This feeling was still wrong. You'll never know what it means so it won't matter. But then again she still couldn't help being curious as to what it had meant. I soon fell asleep.
~~~
I opened my eyes to find myself floating in clouds. Not falling or drifting in any direction, just suspended in the air with the clouds curling around me. Looking around, I was alone in the dreamscape. I folded my arms behind my head because it was so quiet and calm, perfect spot to chill in this dream. The quiet was not the weird fuzzy ringing in your ears either it was soft no sound at all. It was a little unsettling, to be honest.
Everything was like that, and you guessed it, until... It got dark I could vaguely see the space I was in still. It was frightening cause the soft quiet got sharp it turned into a ringing. Louder and louder. I clapped my hands over my ears, but it made no difference as it pounded from all sides. Then all of a sudden it stopped and my ears were really ringing now. But that didn't really matter for long till I was falling.
Empty air, there was no wind it was unnerving because I was falling so fast. So fast, to fast. Nonononononononononono... Wake up wake up wake up! I made the mistake of looking down beneath me. Something dark and solid creeping up fast. I heard a voice. At first, I didn't hear what it said but it got clearer as I heard whose voice it was...
"I think I need your help..."I froze. I heard my fast pulse in my ears at the horror of what my dream was doing. "Thank god you're stronger than you look..." I choked out a fearful sob as I tried to ignore it. It changed, it made it seem like she was mocking me.
A glow came from underneath me. I turned to look and saw that the dark solid thing I was falling towards, it was glowing blood red.
Closer...closer...closer... Splash! Hot hot hot hot! I sunk instantly into the...water...? It was like it was pulling me in, burning me. Air bubbles wobbled up from where I sank. I wasn't able to move or swim up. Searing pain all around 'cause the water was so hot. The odd water crept into my mouth, I couldn't breathe!
"You can't do anything..." Mavis's voice said haughtily. It wasn't long before everything got dark and I couldn't feel anything.
~~~
I jerked awake immediately sitting up. Gulping up heavy breaths of air. I was in my bed. It was still dark out and the moonlight shines over the shadowy room.
"Gypsy? Gypsy!" Mavis jumped up from her bed and sat next to me. I was so glad to hear her voice normal again. My head swam as I saw how scared she looked. "Hey. Hey, look at me you're okay now...calm down..." She rubbed my back comfortingly. I was still in shock from the dream, falling and drowning, and- and the burning. Mavis looked as scared as I was. "What happened?" I remembered flashes of the falling and the ringing in my ears. Not being able to move or breath in the hot water as it burned me. I shook my head covering my face out of embarrassment as my throat tightened. Mavis scooted closer next to me tentatively putting an arm around my shoulders drawing me closer. I gladly leaned against her. I barely noticed the window pane fighting against breaking and not. "It's not real, you're okay..." I nodded against her chest as I took shuddering breaths. "Gypsy? Has this happened before?" I shook my head rapidly. It was something new, that's why it was so so scary.
