AN: Hey, I haven't posted in a while... Well here we go. Next chapter. Yay. Just so you know, it will most likely be Mavis' POV most of the time, I just like being able to know how they think instead of guessing, so yeah. Enjoy the story!

"Fight it, or accept it." Marisol started strongly.

"Fear it, or control it." Mesquite finished seriously. I nodded understanding. "These are the most important parts of learning to master your savvy. It's connected so strongly to your emotions you need to understand it if you want to make progress." She explained. The severity of what she was saying hit much deeper than learning control.

"Before you learn how to use your savvy, you need to know it's power," Marisol said. I made a confused face. Before I could ask any questions she went on explaining. "Take snow for example. It's beautiful, calming, soft, delicate-"

"I'm sensing a 'but' here." I broke in.

"But," She continued ignoring me. I nodded smirking. "It can also be very dangerous. If you try to use it for something innocent without knowing that danger, it can be fatal." Once she put it in words I remembered all my fears I had when I first got my savvy. Disaster... I got nervous again.

"How, exactly, am I going to practice using it?" I asked fiddling with my hands. I could feel an itch grow through my skin and dread pit in my stomach.

Samson then appeared, walking up to them with a big crate full of old glass bottles. I looked from them to bottles incredulously worried.

"Wait wait wait..." I said nervously. "I just supposed to break stuff now? No more..." My mouth went very dry. "Holding back?" I asked lightly. Everyone shared the same look.

"No. Let them flow through your veins. Let them cling to the air around you. Let them radiate from your heart. Let them be what they're made to be." Marisol explained, helping me understand. Helping me get the picture.

I let my tense posture go out the window as I let my shoulders drop. This relaxation was a whole different type of control. I felt a shimmer tingle of cool power flood my veins and the air shifted around me, became still, thick. I opened my eyes to see everyone around me had taken multiple steps back. Marisol and Mesquite floated a bottle in front of me. Now how to focus on breaking and fixing.

I could feel why the air was thick. Particles. Not the normal ones you find in the air. Mystic, magic, inhuman. Positive and negative particles for instance. Positive fix. Negative break. Well, that's how I use them anyways.

I could see them. It was just an aura around me. A couple of feet of a perimeter.

I could see the different particles, almost like they had different colors, but it wasn't color.

I could move the particles. It was almost tedious to move them, I shifted my hands to direct them. I make the negative ones close around the bottle. They clung to the surface of it, all it took know was one thought.

Lines of breakage like a web spread over the glass and it broke apart. Pieces flew outwards and fell to the ground. I grinned. I did it! Everyone cheered.

"I think if you keep practicing you'll get the hang of it!" Gypsy told me, pride glowing in her eyes. I nodded.

"I'll need to work on my range too," I add. She nodded brushing it off.

"Yeah, yeah, but for now do another!" She said hopping out of range and the twins floated another bottle to me again.

This time it was much easier since I knew what to do. It broke easily and I even tried to direct the pattern that it broke in. After it broke the pieces hung in the air. The twins had mischievous smiles as they held it there.

"Can you fix it?" Marisol asked. I thought for a moment as I replaced the negative particles on the bottle with positive.

"I can try," I said concentrated. I felt the particles pull the bottle together and the sharp shards melted together as one again. "Yep. I can." I said smiling.

"Great! Let's get training!" Mesquite said excited.
