Author's Note:
I started writing On Abbott Avenue in August of 2017 after having a rather horrific dream in which many of the key scenes of this film were created. I woke up in a cold sweat that night, ran over to my desk and started writing. It took about six months to write. Compared to my other stories, this one was very draining and depressing to work on, so I put it in my drawer and said I would come back to it someday. That day is today. I hope that this story impacts you in the same way it did me. I hope the themes of family and love come across to you. I hope the realistic horror disturbs you the same way it did in my dream 2 years ago. I hope you enjoy On Abbott Avenue.

Darkness.
INT. DAISY'S BEDROOM- FORESTER HOUSE- NIGHT
There is a drop of blood that plinks down in front of the camera.
DAISY (V.O.)
They call it the final war.
There is another drop of blood.
DAISY (V.O.)
Because it's the end.
(A beat, another drop of blood)
The end of everything.
(A beat, another drop)
When it's over, there will be nothing left in the world. Few left alive.
(A beat, another drop)
Our President failed. The government failed. The world is dying. Faster and faster by the day. No order to anything anymore. That's the scariest part about all this.
(A beat, another drop)
The fact that any day could be our last.
(A beat, another)
Every night I go to sleep knowing I might not wake up again.
(A beat, another drop)
This war...
(A beat, another drop)
It seemed to come out of nowhere. One minute I was starting high school, the next my older brothers were fighting to hold onto our freedom in a different part of the country.
(A beat, another drop)
They went missing a week ago.
(A beat, another drop)
Their bodies were never found, but I'm not holding out much hope.
(A beat, another drop)
My sister married out of fear and desperation. They have a child who will never live to even start kindergarten.
