I didn't know how nice he wanted me to dress so I sorta just did my own thing. Maroon sweater, jeans, and black flats. I pulled my hair into a high ponytail so it wouldn't be in my face.
"You look nice" he commented
"I tried"I laughed a little. He was simply wearing jeans and a nice dress shirt. I would be lying if I didn't think I had picked the perfect outfit.
He was a gentleman and opened my door for me. When I got in a looked over realizing his door wasn't unlocked, I thought I'd save him the trouble and unlocked it for him. I could have sworn I heard a loud 'YES!' from outside the car before he got in.
"So where are we going?" I asked curiously as he started to drive
"The movies" He responded
"I haven't seen a movie in a while"
"Really?" he asked looking over to me
I nodded "Yep"
"Well then I'll let you pick the movie"
Being the geek I was I picked beauty and the beast. Gabe wasn't too thrilled. But he watched it. He put his arm around me during the movie not to mention which was sweet. When we walked out of the movie theater he sighed
'That movie was horrible"
I gasped "how could you say such a thing! That movie was great!"
"She fell in love with the weird thing that captured her"
"That's not the point! It was romantic and he became caring and k-" Before I could finish I felt myself get picked up and put over Gabe's shoulder. I yelled "PUT ME DOWN!" I hit his back trying to get down. He held me over his shoulder carrying me out of the theater. I ended up giving up and letting it happen.
He placed me in the passenger's side seat. I slumped down and pouted. Gabe laughed at this. As we started our drive home he turned up the music. My way by Frank Sinatra played. I smiled and started to sing alone.
'Oh no, no, not me I did it my way" I sang softly
Gabe looked over at me joining in with me. I started to laugh as we both started to yell the last verse "FOR WHAT IS A MAN WHAT DOES HE GOT IF NOT HIMSELF HE HAS NAUGHT TO SAY THE THINGS HE TRULY FEELS AND NOT THE WORDS OF ONE WHO KNEELS THE RECORD SHOWS I TOOK THE BLOWS AND I DID IT"
We both took a deep breath "MY WAY"
We both burst into laughter as the song slowly faded out to become a new, slow one. His car came to a stop in front of my house. I was sad our time together was over. I was having a great time with him.
"Hey Ariana," He said looking over at me

"Yeah, Gabe?"

"You are a great singer," He said with a smile

I laughed softly "You ain't so bad yourself"

I smile "Gabe"

"Yeah?"

"Sorry for freaking out earlier"

"I'm just scared of being hurt again I guess" I looked down

I looked up at him
And forever more
He took my hand "I will never hurt you"
That's how you'll stay
With that, we closed the space that was left between us.
