I growled, giving Leon his communicator back.
"That...that...Ugghhh!" I snarled, kicking a ceramic vase by my feet.
"I'm gonna make him pay..." Helena muttered, and Leon looked at us.
"Looks like thing just went from bad to worse." He said. We then headed for two big double doors. Leon and Helena pulled the levers, opening them, and then we walked through. "You are in the same boat as Carter and I. I'd say that officially makes you our partner. Like it or not." Leon said.
"Fine by me. As long as you help me get Simmons." She said. I nodded.
"We will. I swear. He WILL pay for what he's done." I said, and she looked at me.
"Thank you." She said, and we continued on through the catacombs. "Does all this belong to Simmons?" She asked. I had to admit, the catacombs were huge!
""Well, with that lab of his sitting right on top of us? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say yes." Leon said, and I nodded.
"It has to be." I added.
"So, this Ada...can we trust her?" Helena asked. Leon and I looked at each other.
"That's...not an easy question to answer." He said.
"It varies from time to time." I said.
"Little history there, huh." She asked, and I nodded.
"Try a lot of history. She's been through a lot with us." I said. We kept going and, soon, we came to an area where fire was being spit out at us! I looked around, and saw a ledge by a broken ladder! "Hey, Leon, boost me up!" I said. He nodded, went to the wall, and placed his hands together, going down on one knee. I got a running start, jumped into his hands, and let him push me up. I got on the ledge, then made it to the other side. I turned a crank, and the fire shut off. Once Leon and Helena came through, we were stopped by a door.
"There's writing on this door. 'Set forth evidence of kith and kin'." Leon said.
"Kith and Kin? Simmons' family tree? I didn't bring any evidence, did you guys?" She asked. I shook my head.
"Nope. Nothin." I said.
"Nope. Not related. You think they left any lying around? Wait a minute...the ring Ada gave me!" He said.
"A ring? When did she give you a ring?" Helena asked. Leon didn't answer, but placed the ring in a little slot in the door. The arrows on the door began to move!
"Bingo! Thanks for the gift, Ada!" He said, and I laughed.
"Leave it to Ada to give us something we don't know we'll need!" I said. As the door was slowly opening, suddenly, a horde of zombies began coming after us! So, I went back to the crank, and opened up fire on them! It took out most of them, and Leon and Helena took care of the stragglers until the doors opened. We went through and came to an area filled with water. As we walked out, something giant moved and it's fin came out of the water! I gasped.
"Are you kidding me?? What was that?!" Helena asked. We kept moving through and went down into the water.
"Brr. Ugh, just once I'd like to find a place flooded with warm water, ya know?" He asked. I laughed.
"But then it would be too easy, Leon!" I said, and he laughed too.
"Yeah babe, I know." He said. We then came to a gate, and Leon vaulted Helena up onto the ledge, and she turned the crank to open the gate. Once it was open, she was suddenly dragged under water!!!
"Helena!" We cried. She came up on the other side.
"Are you alright?" I asked her.
"I'm fine, but I'm way over here now!" She said.
