(A/N: Just wanted to put in a slight trigger warning for sensitive topics! They aren't very descriptive, but I just wanted to put in a quick warning!)

(Second A/N: I wanted to edit these next two chapters as I was finally able to watch the Resident Evil Two Remake! So, just a heads up, SPOILERS for Resident Evil 2 Remake!)

Helena's eyes widened.

"Wesker?! As in Albert Wesker, the leader of Umbrella?!" She asked. I nodded.

"The very same." I said.

"Wow. What was it like having him as a father?" She asked. I sighed.

"The worst experience of my life. He wasn't a father. Never was. He's the reason that I have anxiety." I said.

"What did he do? If you don't mind my asking, that is." She said. I smiled.

"Not at all! I don't mind talking about it." I said, then sighed a little. "When my mom was pregnant with me, he, without her knowing, injected the very first version of the T-Virus into the amniotic fluid that surrounded me. Because it was the first form, it didn't do what the final version that they created did. It didn't mutate me physically. So, when I was born, they didn't think that the virus had done anything. However, once they ran tests on me, they found that the virus had bonded to me using a symbiotic relationship. My body provided the virus a place to live, and, as I grew up, the virus gave me varying abilities. As of right now, I have a healing factor, enhanced senses, and inhuman strength and speed. Because of what my father had done to me before I was born, the original T-Virus is always going to be apart of me, but it protects me from other viruses." I said. Her jaw dropped

"Huh. No wonder you haven't been worried about yourself this whole time." She said, and I nodded. "What did your mother think of all this?" She asked. I shrugged.

"I don't know. I never met her. She was told that I didn't make it, so as far as she knows, I don't exist. My father just took me from the doctors and left to Raccoon City. He locked me up in the underground Umbrella facility there and experimented on me my whole life. The only reason I managed to escape him was because Leon and our friend Claire found me during the Racoon City Incident." I said, smiling as I thought of it. "That's how I met Leon, our friend Claire, and her brother, Chris. Chris and Claire both took me in to live with them because I didn't even know the basics of how to survive on my own." I said. She shook her head.

"Wow. Carter, I'm so sorry all that happened to you." She said. I smiled a little, and shrugged.

"It's alright. In a way, there is something that I have to thank my father for." I said. She raised an eyebrow.

"What's that?" She asked. I smiled at Leon as he came and sat back down.

"If it weren't for him keeping me in Racoon City, then I never would have met Leon." I said. He laughed a little.

"Are you telling stories again?" He asked, and I laughed too.

"Maybe." I said, then looked to Helena. "I can tell you the story about how we met in Racoon City, if you want to hear it. It might be a welcome distraction from everything that's going on." I said. She smiled and nodded.

"I would love to hear it." She said. I smiled. Leon playfully sighed.

"Oh boy, here we go." He mumbled, and I smacked his arm.

"Hush you!" I said, and he laughed. I looked back at Helena. "Okay, so obviously, it started in Racoon City...."
