Ch. 2

I don't know how I'd managed to get an audition for the upcoming movie of the century, a movie inspired by the famous book written by the amazing Rachel Pan.

The book is a romantic novel starring a girl named Edith Charles and her struggle through school. She finds herself losing her best friends in favour of a boy who had once ruined her life. The boys name is, Toby Garrison, and he's your classic bad boy with a secret heart.

My Mother new the director of the movie, Mark Phillips, from back in High-School. They were really good mates and recently caught up in a cafe, they chatted and my Mum started talking about me, bragging about my grades and innocence (much to my dismay). Then two and two collided, and I got my first audition.

"Oh Mother, I'm super nervous! I really do love this book and if I don't get it-"

I started ranting and my anxiety quickly crept in and dark thoughts started to appear. What if they laugh at me? Make fun of me? What if-

"Honey, you'll do great! And it's your first audition, I won't be disappointed if you don't get it but I know you will, so no worries." My Mother hugs me to her as she soothes me.

I take a deep breath. My Mum's right, I'm playing for a role that is two years older than me, with much more qualified actors. Edith Charles was 17, as I'm only 15. I shouldn't get so worked up over this...

"You're right, Mama. Thank you." I accept her hug as I wait in line.

I turn my head and look out at the other people auditioning.

I see a girl with straight black hair and nice, perfectly straight bangs. She has a lighter skin colour than mine and it's much prettier and compliments her hazel eyes. She returns my stare and gives me an enthusiastic wave. I grin and return the wave.

I take another glance around and see a pacific boy with a muscular build looking around as well, we meet eyes at the same time and he gives me a sheepish grin. I return the gesture with a small, nervous smile and he winks at me. I giggle quietly and look away.

"Heart, Leah" A lady with bright golden hair proclaims.

My head snaps up as the young lady calls my name. She's quite beautiful and has a pretty, crooked smile that immediately fills me with reassurance.

"Oh, over here!" My Mother says, raising a hand and budging her way through the crowd.

I suddenly loose my grip on her and she gets lost in the crowd. I start yelling her name in panic.

Oh no! It's happening again!

I can NOT handle... being... so... close... to OTHERS...!

"Mum?! Mother!??" I try looking over peoples shoulders, but I'm too short.

My breathing picks up and I start freaking out, my heartbeats quicken and it starts getting hard to stand. The room around me starts spinning and I feel the urge to puke. The room is much too big and I've completely lost sight of my Mother.

"Help... me... Someone..."

I clutch my hair and place myself gently to the floor, tears beginning to fill my eyes.

"Hey! Oh Jeez, are you OK, girl?!" A husky voice calls out to me.

I take a deep breath and shake my head, the sudden motion making me sick,

"C'mon, we have to go. Are you Leah?" The voice asks.

I nod my head and groan in distaste.

The person picks me up onto my feet and I look at him. Just by looking at him I suddenly feel so much better.

"You're needed at the audition room!" He grips my hand and tows me to the front of the room.

He is... gorgeous

Perfectly pale green eyes. Brown curly hair tumbling over his head, messily, yet, so perfectly. Heat rushes to my face,

"Y-your name?" I stutter.

He smiles and looks down at me,

"Miles. Elijah Miles." He says as he lets go of my hand, "Well, here it is. Good luck." He grins and kisses me on the cheek. With one last glance, he disappears.

I start swooning. If anything, I feel 100% better. I squeal in excitement,

"Oh my Merlin" I begin, laughing as I go through the big red doors.

Yes, this one is pretty short but I don't know what else to write about so... look forward to the next chapter.
