In Love With A Celebrity

Ch. 5

Mark had instructed Lauren to introduce us to 'everyone' and make us all nice and comfortable. She was mainly fussing over Miles, but I didn't mind, it was the life of a celebrity. Katie on the other hand was quite put off by it, she mumbled often about it being unnecessary and etc. I couldn't help but agree with most of what she said.

Lauren was showing us some of the rooms that belonged to the cast. I didn't recognise anybody's name. 

"And here we are!" Lauren said, gesturing to a door that said 'The Four'.

Katie and I shared a look of confusion. Elijah was the one to speak up first,

"Uh... And what is it, exactly?" 

Lauren stared at us three with a blank expression, before it filled with a knowing look, which soon morphed into amusement,

"Mr Phillips didn't tell you? You guys got your parts!" She said hugging the clipboard she had in her hands.

I was ecstatic, Katie was probably more so than I was but it just seemed so unreal! 

I was going to act in a movie... as the main character... of a book series I loved!!

Elijah was calm, he'd already known the part of Toby Garrison was his but he could at least celebrate with Katie and I!

Lauren coughed a laugh,

"Well done all of you, you're other co-star is already in there so be prepared!"

Suddenly, Lauren put all her attention into her earpiece and left with a rush, one last smile showing on her dazzling features.

Katie was still a slight red with excitement,

"I've never had a gig as big as this before! It's going to be so much fun!" She squealed as she tugged both Elijah and I through the door. I grinned in excitement at the room around us.

"W-o-w!" Katie said, making the word stretch into 3 syllables.

I grinned,

"Wow is an understatement!"

The room was quite dazzling and charming in its own funny way. None of the furniture or wallpapers matched but it looked perfectly synchronised and I wouldn't want it any other way. Somehow, the room reminded me of a Harry Potter common room, though it was much smaller. There was a vanity pressed up against the left wall and a huge mirror that took up all of the back wall. There was a pretty chandelier hanging from the high ceiling. I counted each of the doors in the room; four (Not including the one we just walked through). One with each of our names on it.

I couldn't help but feel all bubbled with excitement when I saw the door with my name on it. It made me feel childishly giddy and excited.

"Hey look over there," Katie said after a few minutes of us admiring the room.

Elijah and I looked at where she was pointing. It was the 4th door on the right side of the room,

"It says 'Zachary' on it, you think he's our co-star?" she asks nervously.

Elijah smirks,

"No, they just put the name up there for fun!" He teased.

I glare up at him,

"Way to ruin the mood, Miles."

I stomped over to the 'Zachary' door, then giving it a gentle knock.

Knock, knock.

I heard a few mumbles from inside the door but a minute or so later a boy walked out and I stumbled backwards by how intimidating he looked.
