In Love With A Celebrity

Ch. 4

A Week Later

"Leaaaaahhhh~" My Mother sings 

I bolt upright in my bed, a book lying on my face. I groan and check the time,

"Holy Merlin! It's 8:30! Mum why didn't you wake me up, I'm late for school!" I hop up out of bed and rush to my bag hanging at my hook.

"Uh, Hon', it's the first day of Holidays." My Mum says as she stares at me concerned.

I stand by my closet in shock,

"Oh..."

I sink down to my bed and look at the book I had fallen asleep reading, 'The Truth Of Love' I've been a sucker for romance novels lately and this one was just the cutest of the cute!

"Um... So what's up, Mama?" I ask.

She looks at me concerned for a second longer before a large smile spreads across her lips.

"Pumpkin, Mark called me this morning." She said squeezing my shoulders.

"Ohhhkayy?" I say.

It was probably my morning grogginess, but I couldn't see what she was getting at,

"Leah! They want to see you about your audition!" My Mum basically growls.

My eyes begin to shimmer and I feel excitement start building inside of me.

"Oh my Mer-"

I get interrupted by a phone call by an unknown number. I stare at my phone angrily before picking it up and answering it.

"Lolly speaking." (Which is what my friends call me.)

"Lolly? That's a new one." 

I fall silent for what seems like hours...

"MILES?!" I holler,

I hear him choke of laughter,

"What the hell! How did you get my number!?" I ask, in terrified confusion.

"Well, you're all over the news at the moment and I do have my ways." He says slyly,

"Just so you know, I'm utterly terrified right now." I growl.

He laughs,

"I was just wondering if you were coming to the studio today." 

I look at my Mother and her impatient expression, she points at her watch,

"I was just getting ready to go when I rudely got interrupted by a smug rich celebrity!" I sighed,

Elijah muffles his laughter,

"I see you've done your research." He says, amused.

My Mum clears her throat and glares at me,

"We'll talk later, my Mother is getting impatient!" I say, looking irritably at my Mum.

"Bye Lolly." He chuckles.

"You call me that ever again, you'll never hear the end of it!" I mumble before hanging up.

My Mother stares at me, 

"Sorry Mother. Could you let me freshen up." I say politely.

My Mum looks at me strangely and huffs as she leaves.

I start searching frantically through my clothes looking for something cute... yet casual. 

I couldn't help but feel nervous as I searched for an outfit. What if it was bad news! What if Elijah gets repulsed by how unqualified and uncool I am!? What if nobody hangs out with me after this?!
