In Love With A Celebrity

Ch. 10

As soon as I watched the lovely car fly around the corner, I burst out in giggle fits.

Oh my Merlin, I love him. I LOVE HIM!

He's so cute! Of course, I know he only said 'love' as a friend thing but by just seeing him I felt so much better. I felt like nothing bad could even touch me! He made me feel so great to be... me! And I've been needing that a lot lately.

I rush into my room and face plant into my Little Einsteins pillow. I scream and laugh and cry all at once. What am I feeling?! Whatever it is, I love it!

I LOVE, LOVE!

"Mother!" I yell.

She quickly comes rushing in, a worried look on her face,

"What? Is everything alright?!" 

I smile soothingly until her worried expression smooths out,

"I'm ready to go back tomorrow!" I smile.

My Mother grins,

"Oh, yay! You've missed on so much already, they couldn't wait on you so they had to do some scenes without you." She mentions, "But it's not much, I'm so proud of you, Honey!"

My Mum rushes towards me and gives me a squeeze. 

"My daughter; The Superstar!" She squeals, "You're Father would be so happy." She sighs and kisses the top of my head.

"You think so, Mum?" I ask.

My Dad died a bit longer than year ago of lung cancer. Ever since I've felt really self-conscious and it fired my anxiety and depression into gear. I couldn't go anywhere without my mind screaming that they were all secretly judging me. I couldn't help but-

"Of course Hun! He'd be proud of whatever you do!" She lets go of me, "But it's your birthday tomorrow, you can take another day off if you want!"

I choke on my breath, 

"NO! No, I want to go!" I yell.

My Mum looks at me with an eyebrow raised, 

"OK...?" She says and walks off to the living room.

I curl into a ball, I feel a buzz in my pocket and check my phone. A new one that my Mother got me for getting the audition. I smile as I read a text from Elijah,

"I'm guessing you didn't see the news?"

"What news?"

"Here, watch it yourself. Looks like you made the top headline."

I look at the video Elijah had shared with me, it reads ' Breaking News: Miles and Heart'

I gulp and click the news article, the video starts playing.

The news reporter appears on the page,

"Elijah Miles had begun threatening unreliable news sources about the lies put up about Miss Leah Heart, his costar on their upcoming movie. What is your opinion on this Leon?"

They flip the screen to the famous Leon Greene,

"I think this is a very noble and encouraging story. It is incredibly nice of Mr Miles to do this for his dear friend. I am on board with his statement completely, and will help the boy if he ever asks for it, no matter what it is. Whether the rumours about Miss Heart are true or not, you can NOT invade someones privacy like that, it's cruel and dastardly!"

Tears splash onto the screen, I can't believe Elijah did this for me! Is there something stronger than love? Because if so I give all of mine to Elijah. He's such an amazing person, no matter what anybody has to say.

"You are the sweetest person ever!! I can't even... EXPLAIN how much this means to me <3 <3"

I send the text and lie on my bed clutching my duvet in a tight hug muttering the words, "Thank you!" over and over again.

I hear my ringtone start playing and I answer Elijah's call instantly.

I smile as Elijah begins mumbling into his phone.

"Its the least I could do, I felt super guilty about what was happening to you. And I blamed myself... But knowing your happy is a great reward!"

I giggle,

"HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!??!" I say half joking, half serious.

"Cause... it's weird..." He replies, "There's you... but you're my best friend." Elijah admits.

I sigh,

"Yeah, believe it or not, I get it..."

"Oh! Before I forget, I was asked to get interviewed by a really famous talk-show-host!" He says.

I frown. And suddenly, our confessions of 'likeness' were interrupted by a conversation of talk-show-hosts.

"Wow, that's so cool!" I say, "When is it? How can I watch it?"

I can feel excitement building inside me as I wait for him to reply,

"It's on Tuesday at 5:30. Were you planning on watching it?" He said cheekily.

I smile, it'd be cute watching him on T.V,

"Yes, definitely!"

I looked down at the time,

"Holy Cow! It's midnight! What time did you guys leave my house!?"

"Ah... round about... 11:30? We were there for hours talking with you, Lolly"

I frowned,

"I should get to sleep, thank you, again! Love ya Miles! 'Night!"

I smile as I press send.

"OK, Leah. Goodnight!"

I run to the living room and rush over to the couch,

"Goodnight Mother! I'm gonna sleep now!" 

I look down at my Mothers sleeping body. I grin down at her calm and peaceful face. I rush to my Mothers room and swipe her blanket from off of her bed and place it over her gently.

"I love you, Mum." I whisper and give her a kiss on her cheek.

I flop myself onto my bed and smile as I recount my day. It started off pretty horrid but by the evening I couldn't feel happier.

I love my friends so much and I can't help but admire their determination towards my happiness. It's honestly the greatest birthday present I could ever ask for!

I fall asleep smiling and (for the first time in days) I had a wonderful dream!

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN TO WRITE!! Tho, this chapter was pretty boring, I didn't have much ideas for it AT ALL. I tried to reach at least 1000 words but I could only manage 900 before I got tired. Sorry if you found this one boring, it can only get better from here <3 <3 <3

Plus, no Leah and Elijah aren't together rn so calm your horses! Please don't get angry at my characters and their confusing relationship... Teenagers, am I right?

(Lol, that's funny since I'm barely a teenager :P)
