In Love With A Celebrity

Ch. 8

After a few attempts and redo's of the same scene:

"Aaaannnddd ACTION!!" Mark announces.

Then, I suddenly transform into Edith Charles, a normal teenager who is at a high school dance with my date Liam Donaldson. 

I wait for the music to start to say my first line,

"Oh, wow. I love this song!" I say to Liam as I start mouthing the words and swaying from side-to-side.

"Sorry, I've never told you, all I wanted to say." I memorise the lyrics,

"And now it's too late to hold you"

Liam grins at me,

"You like Boys To Men?" 

I look at him and smirk,

"Well of course! This song was the best crossover of two artists in the century! Boys To Men and Mariah Carey! They're great!" I marvel at the song.

I managed to listen to this song over and over again on repeat for the whole week, it's actually really good!

"Shall we?" Liam asks, raising his hand.

I chuckle,

"Why not!" 

I take his hand and we dance to the song. If you had read the book, you'd know Edith and Liam were only friends, like Harry and Hermione. Really close but love each other in their own special way. It never got awkward or romantic, it was a perfect relationship.

A minute passed and I had closed my eyes, resting it on his shoulder. I smile as I feel Zach stiffen slightly at the touch, though nobody notices but me. Suddenly, a males voice interrupts our dancing and speaks to Liam,

"Excuse me, but may I steal Miss Charles for a while." I look up at the familiar voice,

"Toby!" I let go of Liam and wrapped my hand over his neck, hugging him to me.

Liam chuckles, 

"You two enjoy yourselves. I'm gonna check up on Bex." He smiled and winked at me when Toby wasn't looking.

"Did you miss me?" Toby asks as he puts his hands on my hips as I placed mine comfortably on his neck. 

He pulled me closer so we were just centimetres apart,

"What are you doing here? You were banned from coming!" I said as we swayed.

He laughed,

"Liam thought it'd be nice if I snuck in and stole your last dance."

"Well it definitely is nice. Thank you, I was hoping you'd show up." 

Toby bent down and pressed his forehead against mine, I closed my eyes and smiled. Enjoying the moment of peace between us. Though, this was only acting to everyone else, it was the best real-life experience I've had in years!

I whisper quietly, without moving my lips so Mark wouldn't notice,

"You're quite a dancer, Miles." I open my eyes and watch him grin,

"Ditto." He replies.

"Cut! Perfect you two!" 

I jump in fright and look at Mark. He's grinning at us,

"Well that was very good. You are all naturals at this!" 

Katie squeals as she runs over to me,

"OMG, you two are so C-U-T-E!" She spells.

I glance at Elijah and he winks,

"We are, aren't we." He says and plays with my curled hair.

I sigh, impatiently and snatch my hair out of his hands,

"I spent hours sitting down for this hairstyle. Nobody is allowed to touch it!" I give Elijah a death-glare and watch as he gulps uncomfortably.

I turn my head and grin at Katie,

"We are not together." I say,

"Oh, I know silly. But I'm just stating facts. Even the news seems to thinks so!" She smiles looking at the two of us.

I look at her in silence,

"What do you mean?" I ask her.

Elijah answers for her,

"Haven't you seen any of the news or read the newspaper." 

I shook my head,

"I was in a rush all throughout the week, I had to catch up on my books, and writing assignments!" I say, defensively.

Katie whips out her phone and shows me a picture,

"I was doing some research about the movie when I found this picture of you two"

(The picture at the top)

"Oh jeez!"

I groaned as I read the title, 

"'A New Couple'?! How could they jump to conclusions like that!" I scream, outraged, "And how did they get that picture of me!"

I start freaking out and I have to grip onto Katie's arm to stop from wobbling.

"There's more... I'm so sorry Lee-lee." Katie hands me her phone and I read the article.

"Leah Heart, the actor for the upcoming movie, 'A Tear For A Tear'  is not only a beauty, but a broken one. She suffers from anxiety and panic attacks, just as she did the day she auditioned for her part as Edith Charles. And also last Tuesday when she got overwhelmed by something she saw on the T.V. 

We also have reason to believe that she grips onto the life of Elijah Miles as a way to help her cope through it all. But one could only ask, has she only grown close to the famous Elijah Miles or is she just as desperate for attention as Elijah's old girlfriend. Well, we'll have to wait and see, won't we?'

I couldn't read anymore, if there was any more to read. My eyes were blurred with the tears that filled my eyes.

"Leah, it's OK! People lie like this all the time." Elijah tries to comfort me.

"Well, what if they weren't lies, Elijah? How did they know about my anxiety! How did they find out this stuff!"

 "Don't worry, you'll get used to it and-" Elijah says, rubbing my back.

"I DON'T WANT TO GET USED TO IT!!" I scream, "I live a very private life, and I like it that way! There are things I don't tell anybody... There could be someone out there who's seen everything I do; who knows all of my darkest secrets and cruellest fears!" The tears spill over.

I take deep breaths, and I turn looking around for my Mother. 

"I'm sorry! I just need to-" I look frantically at all of them.

Zach sees me crying and runs towards us. I stomp away from the caring eyes of Katie and Elijah. 

It's not that I have terrible things that I hide from the world... It's just when I'm alone I'm at my most insecure of states, if there is someone out there watching me... then... I might just...

Oh what's happening to Leah is she gonna flip out and kill herself. Yes, yes she will... *ahem* Nah I'm just kidding. But that would've been a hell of a plot twist, but it would also end very quickly... Which I'm not about.
