In Love With A Celebrity

Ch. 12

"Leah, don't you faint on me!" Katie says, shaking me violently.

I growl at the floor. Why do my friends have to be so LOVELY!?

"I won't faint, Katie!" 

I turn my head to Elijah and give him a hug,

"Thank you for wasting money on me." I say, mockingly.

Elijah laughs and we pull away,

"You shouldn't thank me just yet." 

My throat suddenly gets really dry so I gulp loudly, I honestly feel so scared! I don't know what my friends have done! What if they're holding a rave in the Cafe?! What if I get a panic attack and everyone laughs at me!?

Katie frowns at me and grips my arm tightly. Zach places a hand on my back,

"Don't worry, Leah. It's nothing too bad. We'll look after you." 

I nod slowly,

"Stand still and close your eyes." Elijah orders.

I raise an eyebrow but do as I'm told,

"Fine, but don't throw me into a pit of fire or something!" I say, seriously.

Zach and Elijah chuckles and I feel Katie's delicate hand tie a mask around me face,

"This is you're birthday party, Leah. Just enjoy it." She gives my hand a soothing squeeze and walks me into the Cafe.

I hear a door open and I jump at the sound of the bell ring. I feel like all my senses have been sharpened, my thoughts and body synchronising into a wrap of protection. I smile as I hear a bunch of 'SHH's and muffled laughter.

"OK, you can take the blind-fold off now." Elijah states,

I shake my head,

"No," I say.

"Leah!!" Katie complains,

I feel someone ruffle my hair,

"Nothings going to jump at you!" Zach laughs.

I mumble unintelligibly to the floor,

"Fine! I'll take it off. But, please, nothing too... extra, OK?"

Katie sighs,

"Yes, OK, fine." 

I take off my blindfold hesitantly and warily. I absolutely admit that I'm terrified of surprises, well not surprises themselves, but what the surprises could be. But not only that, but the thought of me being the centre of attention.

I lower the blindfold and open my eyes.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEAH!!" 

My eyes widen in shock. The cafe had been decorated with silver and blue balloons hanging all throughout the room and fairy-lights dancing across the walls. The normally boring cafe turning into a fairy tale scene just for me! It's more than I ever expected. And in the center of the room are the rest of the cast and some of my school friends, even Mark, Lauren and Bonnie are here. And behind them are... stacks and stacks of presents.

"YOU GUYS!!" I say, glaring at the friends behind me.

Elijah smiles crookedly at me, looking at him calms me down and I look back at the group of people. This is definitely the biggest birthday party I've ever had...

"If I'd known I was having a birthday party I'd have tried to look more decent." I say, turning to everyone's nice dresses and suits.

The group starts chuckling and I feel really uncomfortable, I turn my head and look at my 3 greatest friends, I give them a big hug,
