I walked into the office the next day and sat at my desk. I pulled out a stack of paper and saw a post it note on the top.
Conference Room
I sighed and started making my way towards the conference room. I slowly opened the door and stepped in as quiet as I could. all if the writers were sitting around the table and Jimmy was at the head of the table.
" Miss. Striker." Jimmy smiled and stood up. he motioned to the seat beside him.
" Mr. Fallon." I nodded and walked over to the empty chair. he pulled it out for me and helped me scoot forward. he then took his seat and commenced the meeting.
After 3 hours of talking about new segments and jokes, everyone cleared the room. I Started putting papers in alphabetical order and by date. I filled out a few papers and sat there rubbing my eyes. I looked up at the clock. I had half an hour until my lunch break. I sighed and pulled another paper out of the stack. I started reading it and filled it out.
" Hey!" I looked up to see Jimmy standing in the doorway. he had on a royal blue polo and khaki pants.
" Sir?" I placed the paper on the top of the stack. I pulled another one off and scanned over it.
" Wanna grab lunch?" I looked at the clock.
" I still have 25 minutes." i sighed and rubbed my forehead.
"Well I'm your boss and I say that it would be fine for you to leave a few minutes early." I looked up at him and smiled.
" Well... then I guess I must follow orders." I sighed sarcastically and stood up, brushing off my slacks.
•••••••••••••••••
"Have you ever been here?" he asked, handing me a menu. we were at a little burger joint a few blocks away.
"M mm." I said, sipping my water. " nope."
" It's the best." he smiled and glanced around the room. he had on a baseball cap to cover his face a bit.
" Well... I do love burgers." I smiled and opened my menu.
" Hello, may I take your order?" the waiter said as he walked up.
" I'll have just a regular cheeseburger sir." Jimmy smiled and handed him the menu.
" And for you ma'am?" he turned to me.
" I'll have the bacon burger with onion rings. no mustard or mayo." I handed him the menu and turned to face Jimmy. he had a goofy smile on his face.
" What?" I giggled as he stuck his tongue out.
" I've never been with a woman who's not afraid to order what she wants." he smiled. I blushed and looked down at the napkin folded in my lap.
"I'm sorry I uh.."
" No! most girls get salads. I'm glad to finally see someone who wants a burger with bacon on it. it's pretty cool." he giggled pulled the brim if his hat down slightly.
" Oh..." I laughed a little and checked my phone. on the screen was a twitter notification. I smiled and looked up at Jimmy with an eyebrow raised.
" I see you found my twitter." I laughed.
" And your Facebook.. and your Instagram..... aand your vine....." he laughed," I need to find your MySpace."
" Wha!" I gasped." I've never had a myspace."
" wow that was the biggest lie I've EVER heard." he laughed, kicking my foot under the table.
" What are you talking about?!" I laughed, turning red.
