"In 100 feet, you will have reached your destination."

The GPS called out in her robotic voice. I smiled as we pulled into the almost empty parking lot. I bit my lip and glanced over at Jimmy as he parked.

" Really?" Jimmy sighed sarcastically, a smile playing his lips. I poked his cheek and giggled.

" Let's go!" I hopped out of the truck." it opens in 30 minutes and people are about to start getting here!" I smiled and pulled him with me to the entrance that read 'Six Flags Over Texas". We got to the entrance where a short line had already started. I pulled my purse out and grabbed my almost expired Season Pass and enough money to get Jimmy a ticket and us both a little badge to skip the line.

•••••••••• 30 mins later••••••••••

"Thank you, have a great day at Six Flags over Texas!" An entirely too perky ticket checker smiled at us. I nodded and we made our way through security.

" Okay so where to fir-"

"MR. FREEZE!" I grabbed his arm and started dragging him behind me as I ran to the tall metal building with intentional graffiti on the walls. we raced up the ramps and made it in line for the second group of the day.

" Okay," I breathed heavily from dragging Jimmy," so keep your head pressed against the chair or you'll regret it." I giggled as the first group zoomed back into the tunnel. once the other people were gone, I hopped in the seat and pulled Jimmy down next to me.

" Sir, no sunglasses." a middle aged lady smiled down at Jimmy." they might fly off during the ride."

"Oh okay, thank you, I'll put them in my pocket." Jimmy smiled and pulled his shirt up to his face and shoved his sunglasses into his coat pocket. I giggled and took his hand.

" So this ride is like REALLY fast but it's fun... and we are in the last car which means we go up the highest." I giggled.

" The wha-"

And we were off. zooming backwards around loops and turns that no one could see. I screamed joyfully at the top of my lungs. We went through a series of backwards loops and flips and turns. then up. straight up we went. we could see all of Six Flags from there. but before you could take pleasure in the view, we were off again. stomach droppingly fast. Back through the turns, just forwards this time. My hair flew violently around my face and I glanced over at a terrified Jimmy. and then, we were back in the tunnel.

"You are free to exit the ride." A woman called over the speakers. I took in a deep breath, smiled, and looked at Jimmy. his hair was sticking straight up and his eyes were wide. i unbuckled my seatbelt and playfully hit his arm.

" Come on," I giggled and stepped out of the car, Jimmy shakily behind." you okay, baby?" I giggled and grabbed his arm. He gave me a half smile and wobbled out of the car. he slipped his sunglasses on as we made it out into the daylight.

" Yeah yeah I'm okay... just wasn't ready for that." He giggled, still shaken up. We walked around for a little bit and found ourselves back near the entrance holding cotton candy.

Jimmy's eyes lit up when he saw it. it sparked the child in him. He looked at me with puppy eyes, pleading. I glanced up at the giant carousel and smirked.

"Fine." I sighed sarcastically and playfully shoved him. he basically dragged me to the front of the line where we scanned our quick passes and hopped onto the horses.

The music started up and the horses started moving in a slow steady pattern around the circle. the rocking started to make me feel sleepy so I leaned slightly against the neck of the horse. I felt something touching my face.

"EW JIMMY!" I giggled, slapping his cotton candy off of my face. he giggled.

"Hey I have a secret." he smiled. he looked like a little kid. I leaned over to listen.

"What?" I giggled.

He leaned on and grabbed my face, smashing his lips into mine. I smiled into the kiss and lightly pulled the bottom of his hair and pulled away. he grinned and sat back up on his horse. he gave me a smirk and raised an eyebrow.

" Don't give me that look, mr." I giggled and tossed my empty cotton candy cone at him. He smirked and stuck his tongue out at me.

••••••••••••••••••••

"OH MY GOSH," Jimmy practically screamed, looking in the air. my gaze caught what he was looking at. he had that look again.

"Jimmy no." I grabbed his arm as he drug me towards the towering ride. he smiled.

" Hey I went on a scary ride. I happen to love heights." he smiled up at the giant pole with swings attached. The Texas Sky Screamer. 1000 feet up in a swing that's spinning around in a big circle. I think not. I sighed, knowing that he was right. we scanned our passes and he dragged me to the pair of seats suspended by chains.

I locked myself in and took a tight grip of Jimmy's hand when the swing began to lift into the air. I closed my eyes as I felt the breeze lick at my dangling legs.

We stopped moving. in that splits second, I opened my eyes. i glanced down.

Bad idea.

I felt my lungs flatten. my heart throbbed violently in my chest as I gasped for air.

" Woah baby... you okay?" Jimmy squeezed my hand and turned my chin to face him. I licked my dry lips and nodded quickly.

" Yeah... yeah I'm okay.." I took a shuddering breath as we began to swing in the wide circle. the cool air swept over me, causing be to shiver. I glanced down again.

Even worse idea.

I felt my lungs burn and my head start to pound. I gripped Jimmy's hand and took a few deep, shaky breaths.

" Hey." I closed my eyes as he started talking.

"Mhmm?" Was all I could muster.

" Baby girl." his thumb slowly brushed along my hand. I turned to him and opened my eyes slightly. he pushed my hair back and cupped my cheek.

" Calm down, okay?" And with that, he pressed his lips into mine. My hand found the back of his neck and I ran my fingers through the bottom of his hair.

When he pulled away, the swings were slowing down and we were descending.
