"Jane, wake up. It's time for school." Someone says, bursting into my room.
I sit up, rubbing my eyes. I look at Miles, a little surprised he'd wake me up.
He was wearing some gray joggers with some black slip on vans. He had no shirt on, exposing his beautiful abs. He had a snap back on, the front side in the back.
He looked as if he was sweating which made me suspect that maybe he went jogging or was boxing.
I give him a polite, forced smile. I stand up, getting ready to walk to my bathroom when I notice he didn't leave yet. He still starred at me with his oh-so-famous intimidating look. It took me a few seconds to realize that I was just in a plain black t and my underwear. My eyes go wide and I quickly sit back on the bed, covering my bottom with my blue quilt.
"Nice underwear." He mutters. Although I saw right through him. His eyes went black with lust and it made me shutter.
I had no idea how someone can hate me but yet still get turned on by me.
Probably a mate thing.
I glare at him, motioning for him to get out with my hand.
With that he walked out, shutting the door behind him.

I quickly got dressed for school. I waited for Shane in my room, he usually drove me.
I felt useless with out my phone. I came to realization that Miles only woke me up because I didn't have a phone to set my alarm. So that made sense. Although it seemed like he was looking out for me or whatever, he probably just wanted me out of the house.
I sat on my bed, my legs crossed. I wore some skinny jeans and a black hoodie. It was freezing outside, and I kind of enjoyed the weather. It meant I didn't have to try so hard on getting ready, which usually took my hours now all because of Dylan.
"Jane." Miles burst into my bedroom, frightening me once again.
"Here." He throws me something, and with instinct, I catch it.
"Now come on let's go." He says. I noticed that he had his keys in his hands. I look down at my hands and see my phone.
Oh thank god!
I give him a questionable look, a little confused. Which seemed normal to me now. With Miles at my "mate", well it brought a lot of confusion.
"Shane's too busy to drive you today. So I am. Get off your ass and let's go." He mutters, running his hand through his hair.
I quickly stand up, grabbing my back pack. I follow him out the door and downstairs.
We got outside in the freezing morning air, I couldn't help but shiver at the cold wind. I dug my hands into my pockets of my hoodie.
I followed Miles to his car. Strangely enough, he opened my door for me.
I give him yet again, a polite forced smile.
I get in, quickly putting my seatbelt on.
I breathe out, surprised to see my own breathe. I hadn't realized it was this cold.
Miles got in the car and started it, driving off towards the direction of my school. I couldn't help but wonder if Miles had went to this school before. Shane told me that most the people their were his pack members, so maybe so.
I sat quietly, awkwardly might I add as well, I shivered in my seat, trying my hardest to not make those little clacking noises I make with my teeth when I'm freezing.
"Are you cold?" Miles suddenly asks, taking a quick look at me and than looking back at the road.
I nod. "I'll turn your seat warmer on." He mutters, pushing a button.
I give him a smile and go back to looking out the window.
"Can you really not talk?" He suddenly ask, making me look at him.
I bite my lip, deciding to shake my head.
"So you can talk?" He asks, narrowing his eyes.
I slowly nod. "You choose not to?" He asks. I nod.
He sighs. "Do you ever want to start talking again?" He asks.
That was a question I had never asked myself before. I hadn't talked since my parents died when I was 14. I never thought about talking again and no one ever pushed me to talk. My aunt always let it be. She never brought the subject up either.
I wasn't even sure if I had a voice anymore. I hadn't talked in so long I wasn't even sure how to really talk.
I decide to answer him with a shrug.
He sighs, looking ahead of him at the road. After a minute passed he finally spoke.
"You should." He mutters.
"I'm sure your voice is beautiful." He whispers that part making me blush like no other.
I had no idea how he can just be super mean to be at one moment and the other be the complete opposite. And I definitely had no clue how he had the power to make me blush and get butterflies in my stomach like no freaking other!
